Lucky you. You have a smart teacher who encourages research and investigation. How about Judaism, Buddhism, Christianity, Islam, and the Baha'i Faith, the newest world religion and the most wide-spread. They are easy to find online and some good starting places have been recommended by posters here. Here are some websites to investigate the Baha'i Faith. Consider a side-by-side comparison chart with the name of the religion, the name of the followers, the founder, the date, the fundamental teachings, the golden rule, the symbol, the concept of God, the relationship of God to the founder and to humanity, and the theme of the religion.

Christianity is the system of belief where the person believes what is written in the Bible is the basis for faith. The 'Christ' being the central figure of the religion. Jesus, who is the Christ came to Earth to do what was prophesied in the part of the Bible called the Old Testament.
A Christian may refer to these verses to base their faith upon:
16 "For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. 17 For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through him.
18 Whoever believes in him is not condemned, but whoever does not believe stands condemned already because he has not believed in the name of God's one and only Son."
( John 3 )
The Christian will identify Jesus with also being God, a Triune God, who reveals Himself as three persons, One God. They are; the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. Interestingly, The Father is the most mystical of the three persons. Because apparently throughout the Old Testament, the Father let's the Son do the talking. The Son is also referred to as the Word of God, who spoke and out of nothing, created everything.
In the New Testament, the Word of God became flesh
( John 1 ), and dwelt amongst men, fulfilling an Old Testament prophecy of the name of the child who would be the Messiah:
Isaiah 7:14
Therefore the Lord himself will give you a sign: The virgin will be with child and will give birth to a son, and will call him Immanuel. ( Immanuel means " God is with us.)
A Christian is a Christian because they believe in Jesus Christ, who gave himself for the sins of the world, he made atonement ( propitiation ) for sins. The believer will trust God for it, and by trusting God they will become one of His. They make peace with God in this way.
The rest of the Christian life, the believer will trust God for what God said, not through the Laws of Moses in the Old Testament, but by trusting Him for His promises. By doing so, the Holy Spirit reacts with the believer and works His works through them, making them stronger in faith and more capable of doing the tasks that God would have them do.
The end of the Earth places the Christian as the recipients of Eternal Life. All other people are set into a place often referred to as Hell, away from all other things. The Christian will then live forever with God on a New Earth with God in a city called New Jerusalem.
