I don't really know why this is in the religion thingy, but I'll answer anyway.
Hm, lets just say...Looks are kind of important. For example, I dont take showers for 3 months, i have on a dirty T-shirt and baggy faded jeans. Oh and pimples EVERYWHERE! (I dont really, people, I was giving an example lol) That's not very healthy looking, is it? I must say looks are kind of important but it shouldn't run your whole life and only worry about looks.

Yes. Before you ever open your mouth or act in a significant way, people have already judged you based on how you look. The judgment isn't written in stone, but it is the first impression. Moreover, looking attractive gives you an advantage in just about every situation where people can see you. If you are physically attractive, you are more likely to:
Be rated higher in a job interview
Find a good mate
Get preferential treatment from parents, teachers and other authority figures
Receive a lenient jail sentence
Be thought of as intelligent and competent
Receive a promotion in your career

far more important than they should be! In terms of anything that really counts, the way someone looks is irrelevant...unfortunately, the way someone looks affects the way others treat them and this has an unfortunate impact on those things that really count (such as character, self-confidence).

We all say no, but on some level they are. Looks often are what attracts us to another in the first place.
