We all accept that some people are born missing limbs, Well,Bundy was born missing a conscience. Throw some psychopathic tendencies into the mixture and there's the necessary ingredients.

Isa 45:7 I form Light and create darkness, I make weal(well-being) and create woe(misery/sin), I am the Lord, who do all these things.
Deut 32:39 "See now that I myself am He! There is no god besides me. I put to death and I bring to life, I have wounded and I will heal, and no one can deliver out of my hand.
A historical example....from the Inquisition time period...
When a sinner had "blasphemed the holy name of god", or when he had perhaps told some truth about the local priest, it was customary to apply the holy trinity.
The Iron mask was heated in an open fire until red hot, then put upon his head. The scourge, also red hot, was then applied to his back. After the mask had cooled, it was removed from the sinner, taking skin (and usually eyeballs) with it. The prisoner's mouth was then opened and red-hot pincers were used to remove the prisoner's tongue.
It is interesting to note that the Holy Trinity was designed not to cause death, so that the maimed, blinded and mute prisoner could live out his days as a burden to his family and as a testimony to what happens when one lets his tongue wag too freely.
Christians have been notorios in the arts of torture and killing people....history is full of it. People get alot of ideas from the past. Adolf Hitler looked at what the USA did with the native americas on the reservations/concentration camps and built on it.
It is also interesting to note that the majority of serial killers and convicted felons do classify themselves as Christians...their actions atoned for by "Jesus". A person can do pretty much anything when they feel that they have a 'get out of hell free card'.

People like that can't really be understood unless it's by another sicko... Bundy liked to be thought of as an intellectual and a powerful masculine force. In reality he was neither - a mediocrity. Many, perhaps most people, attain nothing more that mediocrity in their lives. Bundy wasn't most people, though - he possessed no sense of empathy, meaning that, among other things, he was unable to identify with his victims' pain. He figured the only way to make his mark upon the world was as a serial killer, so he began killing. By the time he got caught he wasn't caring about covering his tracks any more. He'd already made his point, which was to say 'Ted Bundy was a powerful man' and make people talk about him for decades to come.
Elliott Leyton's book 'Hunting Humans' is probably the best look into the psyche of the modern mass murderer, and I can well recommend it if you're interested. Rather than discuss serial killers, however, I prefer to listen to my old Blondie albums, whose singer, Deborah Harry, was lucky enough to escape from Bundy when he tried to pick her up hitchhiking when she was a student.

It says he was an active member of his church, and that his violent, abusive grandfather was a deacon there. Maybe they taught him that things like drowning, plaguing, and slaughtering millions (more than Hitler); conspiring to have one's own kid brutally beaten and killed; and commanding one's followers to kidnap, rape, hurt, and kill people; are 'love', and that the perpetrator of such heinous actions should be praised, worshiped, and promoted. Maybe Ted Bundy wanted to be like Jesus-God.

It's scary how inhuman some people are. Have you ever read about Jefferey Dahmer? I guess if you don't have God in your life and have absolutely no moral values killing people means nothing to you. God gave us free will, it's amazing how people abuse the gift.

Yeah, he sure was a pretty messed up individual. I hate how he used to lure his victims by pretending to be hurt, relying on their generosity to get them close, then he would pounce.

Erm, yep, there is no God, and there are nasty people, and that's the way it is. Luckily there are sane, good people to catch and punish the bad people, irrespective of religion.

That's a good thing. It means you don't have the mind of a serial killer.
