I'm sort of interested in learning it, since I have ancestors from the Scottish Highlands who spoke Gaelic. I know that most Scots now speak English primarily, though there are still some Gaelic speakers. I can't afford to travel to Scotland at the moment, so would I be able to use it somehow here in the US (e.g. chatrooms, message boards, etc.)?

I just wanted to thank you for emailing me. And I have to tell you and the rest of the board that I agree with you. There are a lot of church's, not just "Christian" churches that don't go out and help the needy. The harvest is plenty the workers are few. It's sad, but true.

When they ask for a cup of soup and a warm blanket. You can't say, "Hey, I love you." then turn them away empty handed. What kind of a witness is that to someone in need?

However, that does not change the fact that God's Word is very important.

Scenario:

Your non-religious parents who love you more than anything, who'd jump in front of a bullet to save you (and visa-versa) are condemned by God to be tortured for eternity on Satan's BBQ for their disbelief.

While ascending the stairway to Heaven, would you feel merely pity? Or would you lash out at God for his judgement? Would you hate God for letting you witness your parents slowly descending into unimaginable suffering on Satan's BBQ grill?

I just don't understand how anyone could be happy in Heaven knowing your parents are being tortured by God's judgement. How could a Christian not be disgusted to the very core with God for that?

Jesus knew very well about the Muslims , the LDS , the Pastafarians , the Aborigines , the Native American Indians , the rain God Chac , the Fuddies , Tutankhamen , Zeus , Mithra and even the Catholics ...

Jesus Knew all about the hypocrites .. so Why pick on the Sumerians only ?

Was Jesus patronising and condensing his disciples because they did not know about Zeus, Tutankhamen and Global affairs ? OR are all the other faiths ‘ convertible ‘ and the Sumerians where the Atheists of their day ?

I hear all the time that marriage is between "One man, and one woman." What is the Biblical precedent for this? Is it just because Adam and Eve were one man and one woman? Several important Biblical characters had multiple wives, including Solomon and David. What are the arguments (I'm assuming from the New Testament, but I don't know for sure) that changed this?
