Last I checked my school gave up Halloween and replaced it with "fall festival" because it offended Christians who thought it was pagan. We gave up Christmas and easter because of seperation of church and state, and because we've ALWAYS had citizens who don't celebrate these. So we have holiday celebrations and learn about Christmas, Hanukkah, and Kwanzaa. What's wrong with that?
Personally I'm sick of this whole intolerance movement. What's wrong with your kid learning about other cultures or learning another language? Don't you realize our kids are at a disadvantage to the rest of the world because of the attitude that "this is America, we speak English." No one is trying to oppress your religious celebration, but the choice of what to celebrate and what not to should be made in the HOME. Why is it up to the schools to teach your kids religion, and when they try to accomodate the diversity of this country you get all p issed off? Why don't you do a little work raising your kids instead of leaving it all up to the school.

We have become too PC and too sensitive to all the cries of protest and offense that people make everyday. We cannot make everyone happy and there will always be people complaining about one thing or another, but we don't seem to get that.
Our country may have offended some immigrants, but on the other hand, we have been offended as well. Will they cater to us? Nope.

Your right, and nothing should change about our country besides the president. My fiance is in Iraq right now so I am about the most patriotic person you are ever going to come across! Everyone should show pride for our armed forces because without them we would not have the freedoms that we have today, we would not have anything! People make me so mad sometimes. Arg!

Many of our beliefs and foundations are based on Christianity and that is what has made us great. When we began to give it up, we began to falter. Immigrants should understand and respect the established beliefs of this country, and not try to change them to fit their own beliefs. If we went back to their countries, we would most likely get into a lot of trouble if we tried to make them act like us.

We do not need to give up any of our beliefs or christmas/easter holidays for any immigrant that whinges or gripes, as far as I am concerned immigrants are quite welcome to come here, but if they don't like our culture and beliefs they can go home.

what are you talking about. people support the armed forces for being courageous and being strong but if you knew the amount of iraqi veterans who came back post deploment and starting adovocating the end of hte iraq war you might see that the war we are fighting has nothing to do with american support of troup efforts. the government is stupid. we need a change. The illegals are taking over. It's a stealth invasion. After the 1986 amnesty, it exploded. They each had 7 or 8 children and now there are 7 or 8 times the original number of amnestied adults legally, not to mention illegally, all not assimilating and taking over and pushing their sleazy lifestyles on the rest of us.
Never fear. When they have sucked this country dry and completely ruined it, they'll move on to the next unguarded country to ruin. Only a couple hundred years to go...
Edit: Nationalism is not racism. I call all white, black, brown, red, purple, green, etc AMERICANS to stand and fight for the American way. Illegals of any color go home!
