The question was; "What is more beneficial..literature that talks about heaven or action to make positive change on earth?"

I just wanted to thank you for emailing me. And I have to tell you and the rest of the board that I agree with you. There are a lot of church's, not just "Christian" churches that don't go out and help the needy. The harvest is plenty the workers are few. It's sad, but true.

When they ask for a cup of soup and a warm blanket. You can't say, "Hey, I love you." then turn them away empty handed. What kind of a witness is that to someone in need?

However, that does not change the fact that God's Word is very important.

I apologize for not reading the full 'text body'.

I personally know some people who go to church on a regular basis and preach until the cows come home ..... but NONE of those people ever give one cent to any non-profit organizations, or donate their time to help people less fortunate ..... AND these same people constantly CRITICIZE me for doing good works [I volunteer my time, and I rescue stray cats ... etc..]

Doesn't this make them hypocrytical ,,,?
