The verse in Matthew (5:24) has always struck me as being particularly important when trying to mend fences with someone, and yet I rarely abide by it. I usually find myself going to God first, then if I still feel the need to go to the person I will. When asking for forgiveness do you ask it first of the person then of God? If so, how were you taught to do so? If not, how do you reconcile with God?

Would you say this lady is rude or has mental issues?
Shes my dads half sister, when he passed away me and my mom tried to be close to her. Shes 65, never married, has 6 cats, long grey hair, belongs to an ashram.
first weird thing:
she invited us to her house, there was a photo of her guru on every wall, even the bathroom. she told use she has no food in her house and we would have to purchase our own (this is after 20 yrs of my Mom inviting her for dinner and taking her out to dinner)

2nd weird thing:
She writes me an email in all caps, saying "YOU WILL NEVER HAVE MONEY CAUSE U DONT WORK HARD"
at the time i was 26, grad student, with a full time job as a marketing researcher. I emailed her back all my degrees, past jobs, my resume and refrences, I told her i do work hard and will have money due to my hard work, skills, and degrees.
She writes back, saying, Im happy to hear that

3rd weird thing:
I found a cat, she has 6 of them and its her fav topic. I just mentioned if she knew anyone that would want a cat. She wrote back in all CAPS

NO< I DONT KNOW ANYONE WHO WOULD.
I sent a photo of the cat and she made no comment. Then 2 days later she sent an email saying her friend found a cat and he needs a home, with photos of the cat and she writes, do you know anyone who would want him?

She sent about 10 more emails abotut thsi cat
thought that was weird

4th weird thing-
My Mom invites her for dinner, i greet her and tell her she looks nice and go to kiss her, she backs away from me with a frown. Then she tells my MOM at dinner she lacks communication skills

We took a family cruise, my mom invited her to come. for 6 days we never saw her, she had a room with the help cause it was cheap, we invited her to our penthouse type room, she never came, we had dinner once, some strangers we met told my mom shes a b *tch

6TH Weird thing: Me, mom, sister, took a trip to Rome, she never asked how it was.
I get an email from her saying, "I hope my neighborhood doesnt turn into FILTHY- UNSAVORY ROME"

Yes, Virgil was sent by Beatrice,
but the question in refering to the text. Why did Dante, when writing the Comedy, decied to have Virgil to be the one to guide him through the ends of the world? (hell, pulgatory, etc..)

that i cut myself, but they wouldnt understand. only 2 people know that i do it. i just feel like i got it all wrong and im a loser and one big dissapointment after another. my mom forgets about me and i get blamed for everything. if i told them they would just think i did it for attention. for ex. last night i popped my toe out at tae kwon do, but mom called me a liar and didnt believe me.....until she saw it. she was really mean, and my dad, well it seems like he puts me second to other peoples kids. i hate myself sometimes. one day my mom said something about cutting and she said if i ever cut she would sent me away to a mental hospital, i just need someone to talk to. i believe in Jesus in everything, but sometimes i feel like...idk. you probably just think im a brat because like all my other relatives and my friends call me rich and stuff and think i have no problems, they dont know anything

Hi. I'm preparing for a test in Judaism. I am in 8th grade, so the information being tested is sort of on beginner's-level, and what we've learned the past couple weeks is not much, primarily about Jewish holidays and the Judaism's/Jew's history. What would you consider essential concerning these topics?

We've been talking about different prejudices in one of my classes, and anti-semitism has come up. I'm not Jewish, and I guess the people in my hometown weren't either, so I'm not familiar with anti-semitism except for historical examples like the Holocaust. Have you experienced it?

Assalaam Alaykum

Alhamdulillah I got a job in a Islamic School, I left but they wanted me back (",) so I went back.

I have just found out about the pay it is relatively low, but this is not a problem for me, as what's more great them having a sense of Islamic principles and being able to adhere to them with out any one intervening and condeming...!!

For my family it will be a BIG problem!!!

What do I tell them?? I know if I tell them how much it is they will tell me to leave since I put so much hard work in!!

I think hispanics should be in ww2 movies. 500000 have been reported to be in ww2 but not in ww2 movies. I think directors should find the veterans and hear thier stories before these hispanic veterans of ww2 time is up.

Okay, well there is this friend of mine and she told me she was abused. She did have some bruises. She made me promise not to tell anyone. I kept thinking about it, and at Mutual yesterday I told the bishop. He said that he'd call the school and say he was a minister from a local church, you know the rest. I'm worried.
