Because god likes us more than the Christians- we're not always trying to talk for him, we're advocating his non-existence (thus getting him an occasional cigarette break from less people praying constantly), and we don't kill people in his name...
We may not believe, but he loves ALL his creations... He DID invent us 10000 Gajillion years before the rest of 'em so we'd have time to evolve first. Too bad he made so many of...

Actually a great number of doctors today believe in the power of prayer to heal----that is, those patients that pray recover quicker than those that don't.

They have good Christian doctors who are healers.
God uses these men and women to do His work here on Earth.
God would never cause someone to not recover from an illness just because that person was an atheist.
He loves us all.

It's called medicine! No miracles required! Thank medical science for that.
Oh yah and humans like every other species can fight pathogens by way of our immune system. Thank evolution for that.
One more thing, science has proved that praying does absolutely nothing so you don't need to waste your time praying anymore. Thank science for that as well! =P

I'm not Athiest but I ges it's because they don't waste their breath praying to some thing that deosn't exist.

Everything happeneds for a reason even if we don't ever actually find out why. those who don't pray and don't believe in God are still his people that he loves.

Because God is a God of second chances and doesn't want anyone to perish. It wouldn't surprise me if atheists recovered from life threatening illnesses better than saved, praying Christians. He knows the believer is saved and needs no more time to assure his salvation, but the unbeliever will be given another chance or multiple chances so the he is without excuse on Judgment Day!
