It is true, but it is basically a nice way of saying that they are "trained" to think a certain way and accept it.
just like a dog is trained not to pee on the couch, muslim women are trained in this manner. in the wild dogs don't wait to go to the bathroom, they are forced to supress instinctual traits that are part of thier normal behavior outside of domestication.
thus in your quote, the term "socialization" is a nice way of saying "trained"

This statement is just as true as it would be to say that western women are socialized to believe that they can say and do anything that they dream of, and are allowed all of the same rights and considerations as men.
Oppression is the word however that allows the debate, some will feel that it is a socially, culturally and religiously accepted model of behavior. Others will attest that is a crime against humanity. Their method is archaic by western standards, but it thrives today so it has to be working for some. Every individual owns the right to decide what is acceptable for themselves, and should feel no boundaries within the body heart and mind to seek what they truly believe is their path in life despite opposition, boundaries or oppression.

Sure. It's a function of culture. There are plenty of Christian women who believe the same right here in the states. My grandmother's church teaches that the husband is the head of the household and the woman's duty is to obey. Oppression of women is not solely the domain of Islam. It is a worldwide problem. Some places are better than others, though.

Not again. Today, we are fighting back.
The Holy Quran never says that we are slaves to men and we are on the verge of claiming our rightful place. Muslim women today are fearlessly taking to the streets to protest against our oppression by wicked men who dare to call themselves Muslims. If you profess to be a true Muslim, join us in our quest against oppression.

Yes. Anyone with a knowledge of Islam is well aware that women are virtual slaves to men in this religious culture.

Muslim women are not oppressed! Muslim women have more rights than any women anywhere in the entire universe! Muslim women have the right to love their husbands. Muslim women have the right to love their husband's other wives, and find sisters in their own household that they might otherwise have never met!
Muslim women are not oppressed like western women are. They do not have to dress like objects of men's desire. They can dress within the confines of modesty with godliness and morality guiding them. Muslim women are free!
Abandon Satan's hold on your mind, and embrace the freedom of Islam!
