I was just wondering whether Christians believe whether God wants us to act as Adam and Eve did... apart from the Sin of course.

Just wondering, why do some people concider it offensive when someone says "Happy Holiday's". I start using this phrase this time of year when I'm talking to cashiers at the check-out. When I come across someone that I haven't seen in a while in the store, ect. I think it more appropriate to say "Happy Holiday's" so that it includes, Thanksgiving, Christmas, & New Years. For people that I see on a regular basis and know that I will see closer to each & everyone of these holidays...I wish them a Happy Thanksgiving, Christmas, & New year individually; rather than lumping the holidays together. Also, on my Christmas cards I alway put that I hope they have a Wonderful Holiday Season.
Which do you perfer, & why? Just wondering.

A few weeks ago, I was in a bookstore with a friend of a friend and she handed me a copy of "God is Not Great" and said I'd probably like it.

I just wanted to know if you have to ignore the following verses in your Koran to live peacefully with your non-Muslim neighbors?

3:28 "Let not the believers take disbelievers for their friends in preference to believers."

3:32 "Allah loveth not the disbelievers."

4:91 "Take them and kill them wherever ye find them. Against such We have given you clear warrant."

5:51 "Take not the Jews and the Christians for friends. ... He among you who taketh them for friends is (one) of them."

9:73 "Strive against the disbelievers and the hypocrites! Be harsh with them. Their ultimate abode is hell, a hapless journey's end."

How do you obey your scriptures with regard to this?

So I work as a cashier & I've had a customer who was a pastor try to refer me to his church but I told him I was Agnostic because there's so many things in the bible I don't understand. I asked him if I was Buddhist, if he would still try to convert me. He proceeded to go on about how some people didn't agree with Christ & tried to start their own religion.
Buddhism is more of a lifestyle than a religion. There is no god in Buddhism, Buddha is more a prophet, NOT A GOD.
I've had a few more customers try to refer me to their church, & the occasional Jehovah's witness knock on my door.

Honestly, of all the religions, why is it that Christians must go about trying to convert others? I was brought up as a Roman Catholic but I eventually came to the conclusion that some things don't make sense (how come the bible doesn't mention dinosaurs!?) or some things are just plain ridiculous (ex: same sex relations are wrong).

Seriously, why are Christians like this!?

do gay people own the word 'gay' or has it's meaning moved on?

before gay meant happy, then happy or homosexual, then just homosexual, then homosexual or dumb...

There is NOTHING about full frontal nudity or full nudity in the ten commandments.

in the story of adam and eve GOD WANTED HUMANS TO BE NAKED.

ONLY AFTER the apple, which according to the story, they were NOT SUPPOSED to eat, did they put on clothes.

yet it is christian groups the most that flip out when aging pop star's breasts pop out during sporting events, when someone shows a butt on tv or wholly natural nudity or sex in the movies.

christian groups flip out more from nudity than they do violence in america.

why? isn't this against god's wishes? god said "thou shalt not kill" yet entertainment violence is ok, god said nothing about "thou shalt not show the breasts of a woman" yet this is prohibited.

please explain the hypocrasy in this ameircan-christian way of thinking.

If they KNOW they are right, why should it matter what proofs Richard Dawkins comes forward with, in an attempt to disprove god. Why aren't they just content in knowing that they are right and he is wrong? Or is it because the proofs that the religious are refuting are so dangerous to religion that they must be stopped? Answers from both sides of the argument are welcome.
