I think I am... I only have a handful of friends these days. (I don't trust easily any more - been screwed over too many times in the past by people I thought were my "friends" - including an ex-partner. So, I'm VERY cautious and selective now.) But the friends I have apparently think I'm a good friend; I've been friends with most of them for several years.

Why do I think I'm a good friend? Hmmm... I'm loyal to a fault, I'm honest, I call things as I see them, I'm there for them in a heartbeat if and when they need me whether it's 3 in the afternoon or 3 in the morning, and I'll do anything I possibly can for them without hesitation.

Yeah, if I really care about the person than I will do everything in my power to be a good friend to them, listen to them, offer advice, hang out, be a shoulder to cry on. But if I don't really care for a person that much, I know I can be very flaky and hot and cold.

Yes, Because I always..

A)Try to listen to what a friend has to say
B)Try to put myself in *their* shoes to understand where they're coming from
C)Try everything in my power to resolve anything that may be wrong with my friends without compounding problems
D)I'm always welcoming of my friends, no matter how I may be feeling that day

there's a million things that make a good friend, its all about the levels of trust, communication and reliability?

yes i do, but only to a select few.

Those that i know i can count on when the stuff hits the fan, and they know they can count on me in the same situation. Been there, done that. Proven both ways time and again.

YES I THINK I AM CUZ I DONT KNOW ANYONE ELSE WHO WOULD PUT THEMSELVES THROUGH BOTH MENTAL AND PHYSICAL PAIN IN ORDER TO BE WITH SOMEONE WHENEVER THEY ARE FEELING DOWN. PHYSICAL BECUSE IM ORTHOPEDICALLY IMPAIRED SO WHEN I WALK IT HURTS AND I ONCE WALKED MORE THAN I SHOULD HAVE JUST TO BE WITH SOMEONE WHO WAS HAVING A BAD DAY. MENTAL BECUSE I DONT THINK I SHOULD PUSH MYSELF TO THAT EXTREME LEVEL CUZ SOME WOULD NOT DO THE SAME FOR ME. SO WITH THAT I CHANGED MY MIND. I MIGHT BE IN BETWEEN.
