'Let me explain the problem science has with Jesus Christ.'
The atheist professor of philosophy pauses before his class and then asks one of his new students to stand. 'You're a Christian, aren't you, son?'

'Yes sir,' the student says.

'So you believe in God?'

'Absolutely.'

Is God good?'

Sure! God's good.'

'Is God all-powerful? Can God do anything?'

'Yes.'

'Are you good or evil?'

'The Bible says I'm evil.'

The professor grins knowingly. 'Aha! The Bible!' He considers for a moment.
'Here's one for you. Let's say there's a sick person over here and you can cure him. You can do it. Would
you help him? Would you try?'

'Yes sir, I would.'

'So you're good...!'

'I wouldn't say that.'

'But why not say that? You'd help a sick and maimed person if you could. Most of us would if we could.
But God doesn't.'

Why do women (and men) decide to become strippers and prostitutes? I've never understood this lifestyle. For most I'm sure it has to do with the money, but at what cost? They are nothing but eye candy for people. They are not respected by the people who hire them, and are only used for their body. Do people in these lifestyles truly enjoy it? or do they do it because they feel like they have no other alternative. I feel really bad for these people. I have never and will never go to a stri[p club or hire a prostitute, but I need to understand why they do it. I just can't see how someone decides they want that kind of life especially now with these diseases around.

In the garden of eden, Adam and Eve didn't eat meat. This was paradise so shouldn't we try and live like this?

I know it says in the bible that it's ok to eat meat but this was said at times of famine and we are certainly not in times of famine anymore. Vegetarians have been proved to be healthier and live longer and are even offered discounts by health and life insurance companies because of this.

I just find it hard to believe that an 'all-loving' God would want us to kill God's fellow creatures. And please think beyond quotes with your answers... think, if we can live healthier without meat, then why would god want us to kill. Don't just say that he wants us to... why would he want us to?

My parents aren't really Christians, they don't believe in it, nor were they ever members of the Church. But since I got to a Catholic foundation school I'm beginning to accept the faith and I really believe in God... I'm just confused about myself because this is a really awkward situation. Could I possibly call myself a Christian? And am I accepted as one in the eyes of God?

Can you see love? Can you touch it? Can you correspond with it? No, but evidently, it's there is it not? You can definantly feel it. Atheists should understand that God is no different. You cannot see him, nor touch him, nor correspond with him (in the literal sense), but you can feel his presense if you want to. I'm not talking about imaginary crazyness or pretending, I'm talking about actually feeling the presence of God, or a Divine Being. Take away the Bible, the Church, the Commandments, and anything documented as a religious article, and just focus on the essence of a Divine Being. Can you not feel it, even at least sometimes? Can you not combine love and God into one, because they are essentially the same thing. People get so stuck up in trying to force the image and likliness of God that eventually, it sounds like an absurd story. Atheists, don't dismiss the presence of anything. Just because we can't see it (ex. love) doesn't mean it's not there.
