Why do women (and men) decide to become strippers and prostitutes? I've never understood this lifestyle. For most I'm sure it has to do with the money, but at what cost? They are nothing but eye candy for people. They are not respected by the people who hire them, and are only used for their body. Do people in these lifestyles truly enjoy it? or do they do it because they feel like they have no other alternative. I feel really bad for these people. I have never and will never go to a stri[p club or hire a prostitute, but I need to understand why they do it. I just can't see how someone decides they want that kind of life especially now with these diseases around.

Lack of self-worth. When people fell inadequate we tend to do strange things.I've always felt that (unless they are hooked on drugs and needing desperate money) strippers do this to get attention.

Usually, it's all about the money and they don't see any particular cost associated with the behavior (dancers anyway). For those involved in the worlds oldest profession, they were usually abused as children and fell into this lifestyle at a very young age and don't know how to get out of it.

Are these women really any different from gold-diggers or the chicks in my sorority at college who were only there to find wealthy and socially acceptable husbands? I would argue that they're not. They're just more honest.

u never know what you'll do until u put under pressure
I don't knock their(strippers) lifestyle b/c they're probably just doing it to make some fast cash...its not like most of them are trying to make a career out of it. I'm sure they don't want it but its something they feel they have to do to make a quick buck....and u gotta look at the ppl who moved out of their parents house at a young age...especially women. they were probably kicked out by their fathers who decided not to support them in anyway....so whats a quick way to make some money without having to wait so long for a interview...become a stripper. All u have to do is look good. and most of these ppl think to themselves "hey this is fast cash, I can pay my bills and pay my way through college until something better comes along...." So no I don't feel sorry for them b/c they strip...I feel bad b/c they had to go through crap with their fathers or mothers...but I don't feel sorry for them...its just another way to make money
prostitution is another thing. yes stripping is another form of it but I would rather strip than sleep around with a bunch of ppl for money.

Maybe they don't care, or think the people looking at them care for them or respect them in a way.
Probably has a lot to do with money too.

I agree with you 100%
Most do enjoy it or they wouldn't do it, others have to resort to it. Some are just Nymphs, and couldn't imagine their lives any other way. It depends on the male or female, and their needs or should I say "Wants!"

Lolli------ what respect ??? they don't even have it for their own body??? Hello ??????
