I consider myself a deist, but that is a philosophy not a religion. As far as religion I am also Jewish, which includes a culture and basic moral code.

There has been a challenge that I wish to undertake to show that Intelligent Design is real science and follows the scientific method. I have been challenged to offer a statement in favor of intelligent design and then show which tests have been applied to demonstrate the statement to be FALSE. If it stands up to the falsification phase, I must then show evidence and observations that SUPPORT the statement as true. Any ideas? The challenge, by the way, does not allow biblical references.

Apparently a couple were driving along in a place called Manson in Washington, and all of a sudden a cow landed on the bonnet (Hood) of their car. It had fallen off a cliff. It was a rodeo cow called Michelle that had escaped. The couple were OK but the cow was not. Now I know that I do have a warped sense of humour as although I did feel sorry for them, especially the cow, I just had to laugh. Is it just me?

I was watching the news this morning, and the anchor fella referred to China as "atheist", but I'm thinking 'atheistic' would have been a more appropriate description. 'Secular' seems like it'd be... kinda black & white, in a way, otherwise I'd have suggested that.

¿?

A FIREMAN came home from work one day and told his wife, 'You know, we have a wonderful system at the fire station: BELL 1 rings and we all put on our jackets, BELL 2 rings and we all slide down the pole, BELL 3 rings and we're on the fire truck ready to go.

'From now on when I say BELL 1

I want you to strip naked.

When I say BELL 2

I want you to jump in bed.

And when I say BELL 3

we are going to make love all night.'

The next night he came home from work and yelled

'BELL 1!' The wife promptly took all her clothes off.

When he yelled 'BELL 2!', the wife jumped into bed.

When he yelled 'BELL 3!', they began making love.

After a few minutes the wife yelled 'BELL 4!'

'What the hell is BELL 4?' asked the husband?

'ROLL OUT MORE HOSE,' she replied. 'YOU'RE NOWHERE NEAR THE FIRE.'

The charges:-

Attempted murder, Cruelty.

Evidence, Confession by Abraham that he took his son up a mountain, tied him up and prepared to sacrifice him by burning him alive. and was only prevented from carrying out the act by an angel.

Mitigation, Abraham says that he wanted to prove his faith in God and that Isaac was strong enough to have resisted if he had wanted to.

Counter mitigation, Why would a loving God put a father and sons love to such a cruel test and why would Isaaac need to be tied up at all if he was a willing sacrifice.

Possible verdict?

1. Mad as a hatter, institutionalise him for life
2. Guilty of Attempted murder and extreme cruelty
3. Not guilty, a role model to be followed by fathers from then to the present day

What is your verdict?

And do we charge the one he says put him up to it with incitement to murder, extreme cruelty and being one sick God even madder than poor old Abe?

I've heard that Buddhist don't get high blood pressure. Or ulcers. There is very little stress related disorder in their society.

What's the secret? I'd like to know, too.

I know how it works by re-program my positive thoughts by reading positive affirmations

As soon as u get started, u begin 2 build momentum. Once u build momentum, u find yourself taking one step after another in e direction of yr goal.

If u persist long enough (whether a few minutes, or a few years if it is a big goal), u’ll eventually reach e end destination: e attainment of e goal.

I always wanted to be fluent in a language. It just so happen that Spanish is the most common language in America. I was wondering if a 22 year old like myself, can learn this language fluently? I've heard it take a long time...especially since I'm an adult. But do you think it's possible. Another thing I want to ask is that I noticed I get alot of mixed emotions from Spanish women when they find out I'm learning Spanish. As if they don't want me to learn them. Dont get me wrong, Im not racist...but is it because I'm black and because I want too learn "their" language? I know theres been an on going ignorant battle between black females and puerto rican females..but please answer both of my questions with respect. Thanks.

I hate to brake it to all of you, but news flash. You can be a Christan and gay at the same time. I know tons of people that are. Oh, let me guess, you are going to start quoting those bible verses that say that homosexuality is an abomination. Well, let me let you in on a little secret. Back when the Bible was first written, the Bible sayed nothing about homosexuality. It referred to men who prayed on children. Man is the one who added homosexuality to the bible. Second, if you can't be gay and a Chistian, then you can't be an alcoholic and a christian, a theif and a christian, you can't be anything that the bible goes agianst and a christian. All you folks being judgmetal are obviously not Christians, so you can't tell me who to do my religion. Get a life and stay out of mine. I know who my God is and if He has a problem with me being gay, believe you-me, He will do something about it, for His word says "Come to me as you are and I will change you."
