Apparently a couple were driving along in a place called Manson in Washington, and all of a sudden a cow landed on the bonnet (Hood) of their car. It had fallen off a cliff. It was a rodeo cow called Michelle that had escaped. The couple were OK but the cow was not. Now I know that I do have a warped sense of humour as although I did feel sorry for them, especially the cow, I just had to laugh. Is it just me?

No when that was posted on The Register this morning, I was at work and spat my tea across my desk, it was funny but yes I did feel sorry for the couple and did you see the bonnet of their van absolutely crushed. I think the photo is on the BBC website.

Yes I read that in todays newspaper. That must have been a real shocker. Did put quite a dent in the hood too. Sorry to say the cow did not make it. Lucky it did not fall on the top of the car, or the occupants would have been dead. Maybe they need to post signs. Like look out for falling rock, and change it to look out for falling COWs. My first inpression was WHAT?????

Read a few years ago about a falling cow sinking a Japanese fishing boat. Apparently the cow was stolen by some Russian soldiers who took it on a plane to take home with them. The cow went out of control so the soldiers forced it out of the back of the plane and sunk the boat.

I read the news from Norway all the time, it is translated to English. A couple years ago a moose did that same thing but went from one end of the car to the other and the people weren't injured but the moose died. I hit deer 3 different times one winter, it is not a fun experience. Maybe funny to picture the startled looks on the faces of the people in the van.

No it's not just you. I read the story too, yes I felt sorry for cow. What's funny is explaining this to the insurance company! Can you picture filling out the form? When it asks "How did the accident occur" they have to write " a cow fell on the car."

Yesh I read it in the paper this morning, I thought it was a bit funny just because of the nature of it and picturing that couples face at the moment of impact. But yes sad that the cow had to be put down. No it not just you

No it is not just you. I can picture the faces of the people as the cow hit them. I know it's not funny since the cow was not alright but I can't help it.
