My co-worker is having a 50th birthday party and I was thinking of getting her a box of menopause candy as a gag gift. I don't know her that well....

Do you think that is offensive????

I would say this WOULD Be perceived as OFFENSIVE (especially since it is a co-worker!). More than anything else .. a nice, tasteful gift (like a silver frame or something similar) would definitely be more appreciated than a 'gag' gift like this.

that's the kind of thing you do to a sister or best friend as they know you don't mean anything but a joke but to some one you don't know all that well i think it would be a mistake . If you know her character and she is up for a laugh then get a funny from Anne Summers . I'm 66 and still get things for "friends"
from there and still receive them . I can laugh with the best of people. you should see what i buy the fellas

Yes. Unless you know her well. know that she is not sensitive about her age and unless you have a good fun loving relationship with her this is not the present to buy.
You could seriously hurt her feelings or she may think you are making fun of her particularly if you are younger.
There is a chance she'd find it hilarious, but i wouldn't take the chance.
