Christmas is way too commercialized. The whole meaning of Christmas has been lost with commercialism. People, who don't even believe in God celebrate Christmas by exchanging gifts and going and giving parties. And all the traditions of the real celebration of Christmas have gone to the wayside.

I find it hilarious that someone that posted a comment on here referred to Christmas as " x-mas"<--which was a term brought into society by atheists an alternative to calling it Christmas, which bears the name "Christ".
Anyway, Christmas has become commercialized. It's all about money and gifts. It's whole meaning has nearly been forgotten.

What is the celebration of Christmas for? It is the birthday celebration of Jesus Christ. So on the 25th of December you throw a birthday party for Jesus - have his favorite food and of course a birthday cake but not one with 2007 candles. Maybe three for the trinity would do. Anything else is the brainwashing commercialization that goes with "holidays". Christmas, New Year's Eve, Valentine's Day, Easter, Mother's Day, Father's Day, Memorial Day, 4th of July, Labor Day, and Thanksgiving. You have to buy certain things on each of these days.

Depends on how you look at it. If you like Christmas just because of the presents and shopping, then yes. But if you are one of those people whose family has always been not good economically and not able to buy all those expensive gifts for christmas...these people only care about being with their family, which is what Christmas is really about...if you are one of these, then no it is not commercialized.
The people are the ones who make it that way.

Absolutely.
The business world has turned it into a great event, pushing all kinds of things for sale.
This goes totally against the Bible's clear direction against materialism.
This is now November...in the second week of October, some stores already had lighted, decorated, trees on display, and with that, all manner of gifts laying around on the shelves for people to purchase.
The real meaning no one apparently wants to hear anymore. (I mean in the business, and media worlds)
But they'll USE it if it's going to make them money.
Walmart has a few hundred tons of Christmas items, all made in China...where they murder, torture, and jail Christians. Yes, it has been taken over by the world, and the meaning is shoved off to the side.

Christmas is no more commercialized than we allow it to be! If you get caught up in "spend, spend, spend" that retailers hope for, then it's way too commercialized. It's each one's choice on how to celebrate the birth of Christ. It doesn't have to be a month long blow-out of food, parties, decorations, gifts, trees, greeting cards. and desperation trips to the loan company.

This year I got that feeling back at the end of September when I started seeing Christmas items in a store mixed with Halloween and Thanksgiving items. Seems like they are putting the items out earlier and earlier every year. Wish it could wait until at least November to put those items out.

Christmas is what you and your family make of it. Commerce doesn't dictate the holiday - only you can make it commercial.
