An uncle a few generations ago was tarred and feathered for "giving succor to the enemy." He and his family had provided shelter and food for the widow of a Union soldier.

Actually, the embarrassment wasn't ours, but that of the ones who did the tarring and feathering.

I went to replace our VCR yesterday only to find out they've quit making the ones that hook up with coaxial cable and can be used with analog TVs and can be programmed.

They're ready for digital. I'm NOT.

My son is 13 and I hate to say this, but fits many of the "stereotypes" of someone who is gay. I was wondering if I should just ask him if he is gay. Most parents live in denial and I don't want to do that. I don't want him to feel like he has to keep this in.

Jehova's Witnesses knocking on my door every saturday morning, I am sick of it, it is so very rude and intrusive! Could I complain to the council? Who would deal with this nuseince for me?

So alot of people think we are living in the End Times, days of Revalation, etc.

I personally think humanity is actually imploding on itself and that we are driving ourselves faster and faster to doomsday with our excessive consumerism, gluttony and greed. Among other things. We are destroying our planet, our atmosphere and our environment in general. Global warming, world hunger, war, etc. etc. is tearing apart our world.

And the "prophecies" are coming true because we're LETTING them, not because they are PROPHECIES. it's that whole entropy/decay thing, sh*t just gets worse, and if we don't do anything to stop it, of course it's going to be one big fireball.

Oh and is the Anti-christ someone who says they figured out a way to save the world from imminent destruction, when it "goes against" the prophecy/biblical texts etc?

I am trying to figure some stuff out before it's all over.

Who is the anti-christ and what role does (s)he play in the end of the world?

The other night my friend came to visit. He asked me a question that took me by surprise. "Have you ever wondered about fooling around with another guy?". In the 5 years we've known each other nothing like this has ever come up. I am open minded and answered him truthfully, "Yes, sometimes I find myself looking at other guys in the gym, wondering how large they are etc. But nothing outright sexual." I asked him why. He said because lately he finds himself wondering about it. Its kinda bugging him a bit. The conversation then went on to comparing teenage wanking stories. That about as far as the conversation went.

My problem is that since that night I cant stop thinking about him! I find myself wondering for the first time in my life what it would be like to fool around with a guy!

My question is why now at 31 would these thoughts appear out of nowhere? And should I pursue these feelings? (I must admit I kind of want to). And if so, how to go about it?

Has there ever even been a study done? Why is AA still using the 12 step program if it hardly works, most people only go once and
the 12 step is over 70 years old. It was also made up by a drunken businessman. I'm sure that there has to be better recovery programs than the archaic cult that is AA.

The house behind us have these really wird sings on it like GO AWAY AND NEVER COME BACK. on their door it says DONT KNOCK< GO AWAY and they haev a BEWARE OF DOG sign on the house to. It creeps me out.
