Bismillahi Rahmani Rahim- In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful

Hello. No, Muslims do not play music at funerals. After the body is washed and wrapped, the members of the community gather to pray the funeral prayer for the deceased. Then he or she is taken to the cemetery for burial. There will be recitation of Qur'an or supplications to Allah, of course the mourners will be expressing their sadness, but it is forbidden for the people to wail or tear their clothes or show excessive grief in a loud manner, as that may indicate a lack of trust in Allah's will. And Allah knows best.

May Allah guide you to that which is best in this world and the next. Ameen.

Fi Aman Allah,

no......they read prayers from the Qur'an

sometimes, I think only in Arabic Islamic funerals, they bring in a woman called an adada who sort of sings/chants to make everybody cry even more. In fact, it's not only in Islamic funerals, they also do it in Arabic Christian funerals as well....although it's not done often.
