I put no one on such a level. There is no real reason to do that.

I don't put anyone on a pedestal and make them untouchable, but there are people who inspire me.
My favourite is Oscar Schindler, not because he was a spotless saint, but that for a period in his life, a liar cheat, womaniser, war profiteer and a lot of other things, became so outraged by a monstrous evil that he used all he had and risked his life to save a group of people who the rest of his society dedspised. Its not the saints that inspire, its the people who actually do something and prove that there is a spark of good in us all.

Herschel Walker, the greatest football player ever at the U. of Georgia. The thing is, he is as great a human being as he was a player. His last year at UGA was 1982, but even to this day, he cannot visit Athens. It would only create mob scenes.

Do they have to be living right now? Ali is gone, so I hope that it's fair to say that my all-time living legend is David Brower, the Conservationist who started the Sierra Club, and made sure that we would have protected lands today.

Definitely David Sylvian. He really helped me through the toughest times, in life, starting with my teenage years...and now...in a different phase of my life, he is helping me search within, with his songs and he has made my journey inward a fascinating experience. Not to mention David has opened up my senses to other fantastic artists and spiritual guides.

Anyone who would be willing to protect others, those are the true people. Fire fighters, cops, the ones who are in it for others and not themselves, people like that are amazing.

Good god, they're human beings no different than you or me. There is no one i would put on that pedestal, not even Buddha.
