I am not a troll here this is a real question, because all you christians say the Lord sex's you up for his kingdom. When he is done breading you like animals, or using your body sexualy for procreation. He says there is somthing better then your stupid marriage. For we shall be like the angels.

I don't know about you, but what would you rather be like, the angels, or have the person you are suppose to love forever in your arms, and worshiping the lord.

OR are you all blind and never asked God to be married in heaven, you just assumed you have be seperated and don't care, and jump on the first thing you can and get married.

Maybe you are breeders?... and God says not to desire the flesh, for his love is not there, why say this? and you all love the flesh.

YOU ARE NOT even suppose to desire things that turn to dust, I am sure it says this in the bible.....

Why did all the past religions eventually die out?

Did you know that people who believed in ZEUS believed in it with all of there hearts and to the utmost devotion just like people today praise Jesus.

Where these people wrong and misguided back then? They were just believing what there families taught them and what they learned through others in there community. How come they weren't smart enough to know that Zeus and the other Greek Gods dont actually exist?

Do christians realize that there religion is very similar in this way?

Did it have to come from somewhere, why are people so 'on it' when it comes to this. Nobody understands the complexity of the Universe, the other side of the universe could be made of strawberry jam for all we know.
Alright so, a lot of people are saying the universe is very complex and we do not understand it. And I am wondering why they don't think of the possibility of a higher being.
Now most people will just say "why does there always have to be a higher being?". But I say if the universe is so complex who are we to say that there could not possibly be a higher being. I mean, we don't even know where the matter would have come from for the big bang theory to happen.
I mean, I know you guys will say, "why do you need to know what happened before that", but unless you cannot answer all the questions then the theory is only proven to an extent which is at the start. And without a start there can be no end. So how can you dismiss a higher being for"not having enough evidence"?discuss

Mt. Everest (yes, fundies it was there, and 29,000 feet tall) was submerged. That would mean that this rain would have raised the worldwide sea level by about 750 feet per DAY, or about 33 feet per HOUR. It is known that if all the available moisture in the earths atmosphere was converted to water, the oceans would raise only a tiny fraction of this amount. How is this biblical absurdity explained??

This contradiction of God's nature and the world we experience has always been my main reason for rejecting the christian God. I am wondering if anyone here can provide a new expanation for me.

Here is an essay by Sam Harris which explains the problem well:

"Of course, people of faith regularly assure one another that God is not responsible for human suffering. But how else can we understand the claim that God is both omniscient and omnipotent? There is no other way, and it is time for sane human beings to own up to this. This is the age-old problem of theodicy, of course, and we should consider it solved. If God exists, either he can do nothing to stop the most egregious calamities or he does not care to. God, therefore, is either impotent or evil. Pious readers will now execute the following pirouette: God cannot be judged by merely human standards of morality. But, of course, human standards of morality are precisely what the faithful use to establish God’s goodness"

Wjy is it so hard for you to take NO for an answer? We atheists have told you guys, at least a billion times that we are not interested in what you believe, so why do you keep asking the same dumb questions, and why do you keep preaching, when we, clearly do not care?
I was like you, and christians drove me to becpme an atheist by stripping EVERYTHING I believed away!

So why do you keep attacking us, all the time! Can't you simply mind your own business, and leave us to ours?

I might be the exception to the stereotype that all atheists or nonbelievers are evil or maybe that stereotype is complete bull$#!T. But I can honestly say this

I do think of others and not just me
I dont screw others over that way they've screwed me over
I dont drink or smoke
I dont hate gays or women who get abortions
I dont judge others without knowing them
I wouldnt take advantage of drunken girls
And in real life I actually respect other peoples beliefs, although I may voice my opinion on some things, but I dont tell them theirs is wrong or that they're full $#!T or that theyre evil.

And the only bad things I do, tend to do, or have done is

satisfy myself too often(you know what I mean)
lie to cover myself up or someone else
and I used to really bash on religion here a lot for fun(nothing serious) but even now I dont do that. Granted I will state what I think is wrong and what I disagree with but I dont bash like I used to if at all.

My sister lives in east Belfast and looks after elderly west of the city. There has been times when families of her patients have talked about young men intimidating the few Catholic/Protestant families who may live 'dangerous' areas. It is suspected that the political progress between Dr. Paisley and Mr. McGuinness cuts no ice with some of the elder folk, but what about people younger - (most who were born well after 1969) who think chasing a Protestant mother through the back streets of the Falls Road - or a different scenario on the Shankill will have them seen as 'top men'- with other things vexing them rather than what church the few neighbours of their street go to - like the ills of growing up (which we all have)?
Is Stormont seen as a 'social club' for the new firm, or are they closely watching how the Six Counties unfold?

Let's pretend that science has unequivocally proven the existance of God.
Even if there is a God and he did create the universe and everything in it, what makes you think he cares at all about human affairs?
Why would a God that can and did create a vastless universe (think about the amount of solar systems in our Milky Way galaxy alone, and it's probably a million million other galaxies) care what the hell a small insignificant human does or thinks?
To sum up what I'm asking, doesn't subscribing to religious dogma make even less sense than just believing in a God?
And if it does, why recognize religious dogma at all?

This is a country song from Paisley's new CD. I think the song is cute and fun to sing along to, though it's full of Christian imagery and I'm Pagan. I also think there's truth to it. But other people can have other interpretations. Some people object, saying it gives Christians a license to sin or shows how selective they can be. What's yours?

Snippet to give you the point:

"I said a bad word when I was a kid.
Mamma said that I'd be sorry for the sin that I did.
My daddy whooped me and the
preacher said shame.
And I tried like hell to change.

But I cuss,
And I smoke,
I laugh at dirty jokes.
The minor vices, man I know 'em well.
I've closed down bars.
I've lusted in my heart.
My exes think I oughta burn in hell.
But the devil, he won't notice when I die.
Yeah, don't you figure he's got bigger fish to fry?"
