I watched it until the music started having lyrics. I can understand why you love Jesus. You think he's a savior, a messiah, and a god as he's described in books and film. However, he is still a fictional character. I can show you videos of Gaia and Captain Planet and profess love for them because they want to save and protect Earth. I can also admit that they were just characters created to entertain and inspire their audience (I really miss that show). I loved Santa Claus when I was young, too, and thought the world of a man who would travel across the globe giving gifts to children everywhere. Eventually I had to swallow the truth and accept the realization that Santa is not real. I think Jesus is much like Santa Claus for adults. Some people outgrow it and others may take these fantasies all the way to their grave.

Okay, I get it. You love Jesus because he did all the heavy lifting. And now you can break out the popcorn and watch the whole gruesome ordeal without having to move off your comfy couch. Mazimum gory entertainment, zero commitment. What's not to love?

Now I REALLY don't understand.
You love a man that was tortured 2000 years ago?
As portrayed by this movie, the torture was incredibly brutal (probably not much different than torture methods used by the Catholic church for over 600 years). He was portrayed as amazingly kind and understanding through his torture- I guess that's a nice sentiment.
Thanks for the opportunity to try and see into your world, but you've left me more and more worried about you and the reasons for your 'faith'.
