I don't want to make a blanket statement, but how wonderful. I hope they don't get punished or lose funding over this. I'm pro-life, but basically EC is a double dose of birth control pill given before implantation can even happen, and I fully support rape victims getting it rather than having worse choices later on. I think demanding that a rape victim to live with a reminder for at least nine months and let her body be altered is immoral.

Sounds like they don't have a choice. Such an action is inhumane and contrary to Catholic teaching that respects the dignity of all human life. It's good to know abortions are being legislated, and probably forced now. Sounds like a slippery slope to me.

If I was one of those bishops I would fight this disgusting practice.

Do you have a link to the story?

Sure, give up before you are forced to... How very good of them. At least the Catholics accept science, though. Look at all the fundies on here who can't accept evolution, and it makes you thankful for the Catholic Church.

Real Christians don't need a bishop's permission for anything.

I wouldn't say common sense. Perhaps a bit more compassion though.

Nope. Common sense and Christianity are mutually exclusive.

Possible, but not in the time that we will be alive to find out.

Blessed Be.
