Asalamualaikum.
In this holy month of Ramadan, I have tried to increase my worship of Allah (SWT). I pray Salaat as I do all year round, I pray Taraweeh, dhikr and I have been reciting alot of Quran because I am trying to finish it in this blessed month.
But the problem is I have been getting ALOT of negative thoughts and worries. Some nights I have bad dreams too. I know I trust in Allah (SWT) 110% but these negative thoughts and worries still keep haunting me. Could it be shaitan trying to distract me from worshipping Allah (SWT) by giving me these negative thoughts and worries?? What can I do to make them go away??

This is referring the Matthew Shepard Act.

He could:
-Sign it into law
- Pocket Veto it, or
- Veto it

If it were to get vetoed, do you think Congress would try and override it?

The authorship of the New Testament is known and accepted by your church leaders as not being Mark Luke Jonh Paul etc.

Here is the test: How many will go and ASK their ministers to discover the truth of that statement, and how many will declarre it a lie or blasphamy without ever checking?

What is the issue? A group of people beat up one person and people are upset they are getting charged? Are people only upset because it was black against white? What if the six kids where white beating up one back? What if they were all white, what if they were all black?

I can remember things like this happening in my highschool but not having to do with race. This group of people is terrioizing that group because they skateboard and they hate anyone who plays sports. If there were ever a fight where it were 6 on 1 you better believe they were going to have charges pressed, regardless of their backround or the color of their skin. Can someone help me understand this?

I've been to a certain sit down restaurant twice and both times I called in a take out order and went to pick up my food.

My food was already wrapped up in a bag ready to go. I gave them my money, but rather than handing me my change, they put my change on a tray and placed the tray on the counter. I was really puzzled by this until a friend told me they expected me to leave a tip.

This didn't make sense to me because no one waited on me, got me a drink, or any of the other things that are associated when you dine in at a restaurant. Furthermore, one of the times, my change was only 45 cents and I thought it would be insulting to leave someone a 45 cent tip on a $20 meal.

Are you supposed to tip when you call in a take out order at a sit down restaurant? If so, how much are you supposed to tip? I don't think it's fair to expect 15% when all they did was take my money, hand me the bag, and give me change.

Theist: God created Man.
Atheist: Man created God (or the concept thereof).

Which one in your opinion is true and why? An answer more than a mere sentence would be appreciated.

I'm looking to get a small tattoo on the inside of my wrist and want to get a goddess symbol. I first wanted the symbol for Ishtar, the goddess of war, but I'm not crazy about the design. Does anyone know any interesting goddess symbols (with special attention to goddesses of war)?

I first noticed the use of "is come" instead of "has come" from reading and watching the Lord of the Rings. (At least, I think it's some sort of substitute for "has come"). Here are some quotes from the trilogy that show this:

"The Dead awaken; for the hour is come for the oathbreakers;"
(The Passing of the Grey Company, Book Five).

"Now is the hour come, Riders of the Mark, sons of Eorl!"
(The Ride of the Rohirrim, Book Five).

"Lights went out in house and hamlet ... Ever there rose the same cry in the gathering night: 'The King of the Dead! The King of the Dead is come upon us!' "
(The Passing of the Grey Company)
- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

Does "is come" mean "has come"? If so, I wonder why Tolkein wrote in this way!

Also, I noticed that this is strangely similar to the French Vandertramp verbs - with auxiliary verb être, "to be", instead of avoir, "to have", when used in the past tense.

Thanks a ton if you can explain!

My ex and I married in the Catholic Church-I'm Catholic, he was not. We went to a Catholic retreat so he would be "prepared" to marry in the Catholic Church. We were both way too young and we both were unfaithful. We decided to get divorced and then I got pregnant by someone else. I remarried through a Justice of Peace but I want to get remarried in the Catholic Church eventually. He's not Catholic either, but he's trying to convert over. A nun at our Church told him he couldn't become Catholic (get confirmed) until my marriage was anulled, is that right? Also, how do I have my baby baptized if the anullment is not final by then?
