of course i would treat them with respect and love. Anything else would be cruel, mean, unjust, hateful, and downright stupid..and if your christian, it would also be ungodly.

I'm a married, bisexual woman. Being involved with women is a thing of the past, but I will never consider myself to be straight. This is how I am & always will be.
Either way, it wouldn't bother me if I had a child that was gay, lesbian, or bi. No matter what, he or she is still my child, & I would still love them. All my life I grew up hearing how my parents would "disown" me for whatever reason. I think that is the most horrible thing for a child to hear no matter what age they are.
If someone started treating a friend poorly after they came out of the closet, they were never really a friend in the first place.

I would treat them the same as I had before. When are people going to realize that a person's sexuality is only a very small part of that person and the kind of person they are has no bearing on their sexuality. Except maybe they're a little kinder to everyone having to put up with hate and discrimination.

I'd treat them exactly the same way I did before I found out. Do you enquire as to the sexuality of everyone you meet before you decide whether or not you like them? What difference does a persons sexuality make?

I would treat them the same.
It would be a little weird at first
but I would feel honored that they could be so honest with me.
Then things would go back to normal.

My stepdaughter told us she was gay when she was in high school. We told her we loved her, and if she was ready for adult decisions like having sex, then we would treat her like an adult. Adults don't depend on their parents to support them.
After about 6 years she gave up her gay lifestyle and is now engaged to be married to a fine young man.
We are happy for her now, as she is a much happier person.

With the same respect I try to treat anyone I care about. They are as human as anyone else. And sexuality is not a disease or contagious, it is a preference-their choice.Just like it is mine to like guys.

I would treat them like they are human. I am a big lady and I wouldn't want to get treated any differently.

I would treat them like my child or sister or friend. Of course they'd deserve respect. It's ignorant and insensitive not to.

A true, mature human being would treat that person with the same respect that they themselves would want to receive.....
