Many people including doctors believe that medical miracles are occuring on this planet even now. According to them incurable diseases are dissapating from people's bodies, sicknesses dissapear, and tumors magically cease to be threatening.

If all these things are correct, why is it that 100% of the time amputees never grow their limbs back?

I've heard this said in different ways on different things. If I believe it to be true and in my heart I believe it, it's true to me.

Isn't that statement just the absolute pure definition of ignorance? If it's true to you, thats enough? Isn't truth universal? Wouldn't it need to be true for all?

I can hold the idea that 1+1=3 close to my heart, but really, even if I believe in it and have never been proven wrong, am I truly right? I "believe" I am, I "think" I am, and so far, nothing has proven me wrong, but does that mean I knew?

When someone says that "my belief" is all that matters, in the end, does that not mean one is no longer open to challenge themselves? Challenge others? To debate and logically deduce beliefs until they become unchallengeable? To "delearn"everything?

So, are you delusional to suggest your belief, as long as it's true to you, is truth itself?

I can understand people not believing in any gods, somepeople need to see proof before they believe in something, and thats fine.
I can understand anyone believing in gods and taking this on faith, I am one of those people myself.
Could someone please explain to me though, how some people believe in one god, but refuse to accept the possibility of other gods.
NOTE: I am not asking if gods exist, that is for each person to decide for themselves, what I want to know is, if you believe in one what makes you so sure there are no others. Try to answer this without using the bible, because those of us who believe in many gods do not believe in the bible.

Joyce Meyer has blessed me alot. She has a wonderful ministry. She told me to be confident because insecure people are hard to deal with and she said that our spirits should always be light and free so we can be free to handle life's adversities. She says you have to let your cares go and practice the warfare of rest cuz that causes God to act. She said that if you seek God's prescence, that is where real joy comes from. And much much more...................

In the early 70s, there was a movement to embrace Christianity by the liberal left. There was a Christian commune featured in Easy Rider, and the movie-musical Jesus Christ Superstar was made during this era. Bob Dylan had a gospel album (Slow Train Coming,) as did Eric Clapton (One in Every Crowd.) Now - from this non-Christian's perspective - it seems like Christianity is an anathema to the far-left.

Are there still long-haired tie-died hippie Jesus-Freaks out there?

There was a question a few minutes ago regarding "playing God." A good question. However, it is often said that humans are made in God's image. Does this mean solely in the visual sense? If not, and you believe that God did indeed create us in His image then why should we too not seek to create life? Perhaps we will fail. Perhaps not. Regardless, is this not what is meant by "in His image?"

"If Joseph Smith was a deceiver, who willfully attempted to mislead the people, then he should be exposed; his claims should be refuted, and his doctrines shown to be false, for the doctrines of an impostor cannot be made to harmonize in all particulars with divine truth."
