Atheists: What do you think you do that is most annoying to Christians here?

Christians: What do you do that you think is most annoying to atheists here?

Alot of Christians are really good people. I have a few good Christian friends. I think the most annoying thing I do to them is when I say that I believe that organized religion is a disease amongst mankind responsible for most violence, racism, and hate in the world.

P.S. by organized religion I include not only Christians but, Jews, Hindu's, Muslims, even cults like the Hare Krishnas or Scientology. I do however exempt Buddism and Wiccans because they teach (and practice) tolerance of other beliefs

I don't know that I get annoyed at atheists. I fear for their eternal destination. I wish they would do enough research to acknowledge that the bible is, at the very least, a historical document with verifiable facts, if they are sincere enough to look. An educated atheist doesn't bother me in the least. At least they've made an educated choice. I've found that most atheists say blasphemous things that they haven't researched, simply to get Christians stirred up. As I said before, their eternal destination is not a pleasant place to be in...forever.

As a Christian, it annoys me that we are all labeled with same exact set of values. The ONLY unifying thing all Christians should believe is that Christ died for our sins, is the Son of God, and only through Him do we find salvation. Not all are creationists, not all are pro-life, not all are conservative. Second, while I don't expect an atheist to concede there is a God, I do wish they would admit they don't have a better answer for the orgin of the universe, and that clearly a mind far more expansive than our own, has to be ultimately at the orgin.

For both, I would say giving an answer that the other side has to think about. On the other hand, one of the most annoying could also be not being convinced by good arguments!

I think it is very annoying to atheists when Christians answer questions and then back up their answer with Bible references and verses. I have seen many atheists comment about that. Sometimes they even ask a religious question and say "Do not use Bible references. I won't even read it because it means nothing to me."

To atheists: I think it is most annoying when Christians understand so little about evolution that they say things like, "Can you BELIEVE they think we came from apes!?" I mean, I'm a creationist, but fellow creationists, come on. How in the world can you try to argue your point when *you* don't even understand your point?

I think I have a single answer for both: Answering questions with a closed mind and being unwilling to credit the other's opinion.

If I have a belief, with some thought behind it, I would like it to be given some simbilance of consideration. To wall-up and claim that anothers opinion or belief is unfounded or wrong is immature and counterproductive to learning, which is, in my opinion, our greatest gift. The ability to learn and grow.

I can't decide whether there is a God or not, so I imagine I annoy both the Christians and the atheists. :)

I think the most annoying thing to atheists about Christians is actually three things:

1-Trying to convert them. ("Shoving it down their throats.")

2-Telling them they're going to hell. (How would they know that anyway!)

3-Being judgemental.

Note: And they hate it when anyone spells atheist wrong! LOL :))
