Follow Jesus. "Come be my follower." (Luke 18:18-23)

We must hold firmly to our Christian faith because, unlike what you may hear in some churches or on religious television programs, the Bible says we can fall away. It tells of Christians who abandoned "the straight path." (2 Peter 2:1, 15) We thus need to 'keep working out our own salvation with fear and trembling.'—Philippians 2:12; 2 Peter 2:20.

The words of 1 Peter 3:21 confirm that the entire baptismal arrangement, including this public expression of faith, is essential for salvation. The apostle wrote: “That which corresponds to this is also now saving you, namely, baptism, (not the putting away of the filth of the flesh, but the request made to God for a good conscience,) through the resurrection of Jesus Christ.”

Clearly, the mere act of getting immersed is not what saves. While water can wash away filth or dirt, salvation does not result from a “putting away of the filth of the flesh” by a solemn external washing. Peter showed that salvation is “through the resurrection of Jesus Christ.” This means that the one getting baptized must have faith that salvation is only possible because the Son of God died a sacrificial death and was then resurrected on the third day. It is also essential that he accept Jesus as his Lord or Master with full authority to judge the living and the dead, for Peter continued: “He is at God’s right hand, for he went his way to heaven; and angels and authorities and powers were made subject to him.”

Is anything more than faith needed in order to gain salvation?

Heb. 5:9, RS: “He [Jesus] became the source of eternal salvation to all who obey him.” (Does this conflict with the statement that Christians are “saved through faith”? Not at all. Obedience simply demonstrates that their faith is genuine.)

Jas. 2:14, 26, RS: “What does it profit, my brethren, if a man says he has faith but has not works? Can his faith save him? For as the body apart from the spirit is dead, so faith apart from works is dead.” (A person does not earn salvation by his works. But anyone who has genuine faith will have works to go with it, works of obedience to the commands of God and Christ, works that demonstrate his faith and love. Without such works, his faith is dead.)

No JW will be saved, beacuse the group is based on severe errors of C T Russell and Rutherford. The former was a freemason divorcee and the latter a drunkard!

"your book"?
Not sure what you mean.
However, to be saved, the Bible talks of a speech by the Apostle Peter that really touched his audience.
"they said to Peter and the rest of the apostles: “Men, brothers, what shall we do?” 38 Peter said to them: “Repent, and let each one of YOU be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ for forgiveness of YOUR sins." Acts 2:37
That would be step #1.
Step #2 would be in alignment with Acts 15:14.....
"God has turned his attention to the nations to take out of them a people for his name."
So, it seems we should find out what God's name is, seek out that organization that is holding it on high and be baptized by them in the name of Jesus.
This does not guarantee being saved, but it does put us on the right road, going in the right direction.

Jesus said in Matthew 24: 13: "But he that has endured to the end is the one that will be saved"....
