Once my sister and I were traveling with my parents, stopped on the Rogers Pass to use the outdoor facilities. We were in our 20's. My sister used the toilet, then I did. We got back into the car, started driving, and she said to me "Did you see that huge spider inside the hole?" (outdoor toilet, hole for the waste, wooden seat, yuk I hate them) I said "yah saw it". She said "What did you do?" I said "Nothing but he sure got pissed off." And we both cracked up. My mother went ballistic and slapped me and said "how dare you use such foul language!"

Did anyone else have an uptight mother who was just over the top in her attitude about language? She was nuts, she hated the word "scunge" so we used it all the time, as much as possible.

Urban dictionary: Scunge: Slime or dirt that is both unidentifiable and nasty, and possibly likely to give birth to sentient life in the future. IE: "what is that scunge in your fridge?"

Not necessarily from a moral perspective but a human one?

I am referring to the present day, not when your nearest neighbor was miles away and there was minimal interaction with other people.

There are not many species that mate for life and I am quite certain that humans are not one of them. Sometimes it just feels like a set-up.

Do you think you will have any thoughts of what is really going to happen to you in death?

Will you really question if thier is a GOD or not?

Or do you think you will remian steadfast with no fear- your life is about to be over, never to grace the people you once knew and loved ever again.

(this was partly due to drinking that night), anyway I was laying bed at around 11am and I had not slept, and I started to pray to god and how I was sorry for any bad things I had done in my life, and how in the past I had even done things like try and convince Christians there was no good, and who did I think I was to do something like that, and how I wanted my life to change etc, and right at the end, while my eyes were still closed and I was on my side, something that I can only explain was so powerful took control of my body, while this was happening there in my image of this unbelievable powerful force surrounding my body with a light so bright, I could not move and it felt so overwhelming, it was for me god either wanting to take me to heaven if I had enough, or to open my eyes.I thought I was slipping away. I then opened my eyes and I thought about this for the rest of today.
I now think it was god or someone sent by god, like an angel, and it was like giving me a choice.

I have a little bottle of bleach in my purse and also a large spray bottle in my bathroom at home. Its the weird? Even if I know I was the last one to use it, I still do it. I never cared about this stuff. I started to date this guyy who was a germaphobic and I guess it rubbed off on me. I want to stop doing this but now I feel really uncomfortable if I don't do it. Am I the only one that does this or feels this way? I don't even date him anymore.

criticise the asker, and condemn what they don't know for sure. Then after they condemn
they spout their own believes which the asker didn't ask for. Do you think people like that are just full of themselfs and believe they cant ever be wrong.

if we presume that the erstwhile religious edicts were created to bind the primitive humans in some informal sort of civilised society by every means--love, persuation, persecutions, power, coersion, punishment,reward, hope, promises, union, reunion, etc, etc, etc.....are we to assume that today's Laws had to be created in a modern civilisation to overcome the shortcomings/drawbacks that arose in an ever evolving world, to govern it better on more realistic grounds as opposed to a high moral and probably, anachronistic-stand (out of time) taken by the existing religions of the world,evolved much earlier with few changes.
