Chippy, prayer has been a blessing in my life. It has opened many doors, that man thought he had shut.

O' Heavenly Father, In the Merciful and Blessed Name of Jesus, I pray You will shine your light upon this Earth. That You will cast down hunger, evil, murder, and all manners of hatred and iniquity into outer darkness. Father God heal with Your Mighty Hand the sick and dying. Lead us away from temptation O' Great King. For it is we who need You with us from birth to the grave. Lord we give You praise, power, thanksgiving, glory, honor, and blessings in Jesus Name! Amen!

"Father, I ask you to bless these dear friends reading this right now Lord, show them a new revelation of Your love and power. Holy Spirit, I ask You to minister to their spirit at this very moment.
Where there is any pain, give them Your peace & mercy.
Heal their broken hearts and give them joy for their
mourning.
Where there is self doubting, release a renewed confidence in Your ability to work through them. Show them that You believe in them and will always stand beside those whose hearts are truly Yours..
Where there is tiredness, or exhaustion, I ask You to give them understanding, patience, & strength as they learn submission to Your leading. Refresh thier hearts, minds, souls and bodies. Where there is spiritual stagnation, I ask You to renew them by revealing Your nearness, and by drawing them into greater intimacy with You. Renew within their hearts a hunger for Your word.
Where there is fear, reveal Your love, and release to them Your courage. Send your angels to comfort and protect them. Make them aware they are not alone. You are with them to the end of the age.
Where there is a sin blocking them, reveal it, and break its hold over their life. Where there is bondage to an addiction or an attitude or an earthly viewpoint that runs counter to Your purpose - break the chains and free them from their self-imposed captivity.
Bless their finances, give them greater vision, and raise up leaders, and friends to support, and encourage them. Support their walk in discipline and help them see how rich they are in all avenues of life.
When hate threatens them - or their loved ones - send a phalanx of angels to guard and protect them. Remove the weed of bitterness from their heart - and help forgive.
When they are in doubt of what the future holds, defeat their doubts with the revelation of your intended path.
Help them trust completely in You - even when everyone
else cannot see a way. When they are weak in spirit, reveal your everlasting strength.Give them Your support to cross the tumult safely.
Open their hearts to feel Your love for all they encounter - from the great and powerful to the small and unlovely or even the wounded and angry. Give them Your eyes to see all
through the blood of Christ. Teach them to speak peace over everyone. Teach them to meditate on Your love for all people.
Abolish hate and prejudice everywhere it seeks to create a
foothold in their life. Soften their hearts and open their eyes to Your ways.
Remind them only You can be trusted. Men will always fail us. It is for those times I pray you embody them with a forgiving heart. Bless those who become peacemakers in the midst of turmoil.
If they are ill - remind them you are the Lord Our Healer, and that if they ask for healing from you - you will bring it completely.
Please, dear Lord, be their leader, guide, friend, counselor, lover of their soul, father-confessor, protector and teacher.
I pray desperately that You help me with all these things as well.
I ask You to do these things in Jesus' name, that the Father may be glorified in the Son. I praise you that hearts and minds are being touched by Your Holy Spirit even now.
In Jesus' name, Amen.
Peace.

AuntB, here's your answer:
Actually, this is technically a violation of Community Guidelines, because it is solicitation. But I guess nobody will bother to report it.
Those of us who use the term "prayer" should pray for Yahoo! Answers to succeed, keeping open this valuable line of communication. The rest of us will do whatever we do to help.
Now, read it again and take a long, hard look at your own contradiction.
I'm not some Bible-hammering Christian, but I've got no qualms about praying for someone who would like to have it done. Good grief!

I pray, that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give to you the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of Him, the eyes of your understanding being enlightened; that you may know what is the hope of His calling, what are the riches of the glory of His inheritance in the saints, and what is the exceeding greatness of His power toward us who believe, according to the working of His mighty power which He worked in Christ when He raised Him from the dead and seated Him at His right hand in the heavenly places, far above all principality and power and might and dominion, and every name that is named, not only in this age but also in that which is to come.
Amen.

I try to live my life in an attitude of prayer where ever I am and whatever I might be doing. My special time of day, though, is 10 PM CST when I go out onto my deck and look up at the stars. There, I praise God for His presence in my life and thank him for His continued blessings. I ask His intervention in the things that matter to me and if my brother has a concern, it's also my concern, it matters to me. So tonight at 10 PM my brother, feel the connection for I will be holding you up that God may see your needs and meet them as I trust you will hold me up as well.

Anytime. I'll say the prayer I say for my children every day. I pray that the warmth and comfort of God stands at your back. That you can feel the loving Hand of God on your shoulder.

Maybe I should write people's names down, (like my previous joke..Dementia!!!)
But do you think if I say anyone I'm worried about or for the whole world?

Angel of God, my Guardian dear, to whom His love commits me here, ever this day be at my side, to light and guard, to rule and guide. In the Name of Jesus Christ, My Lord, I pray. Amen.
O Loving God,
bless our family with your love.
Guard us from all danger and harm;
deliver us from anger that leads to division;
empower us to forgive as we have been forgiven;
and send us into the world
to witness to your love and grace;
in the name of Jesus Christ we pray.
Amen.
