Jesus is the seed of Mary
Mary is the seed of Eve.

Later in Gen 49:17
Jacob prophecies over the Tribes of Israel, when he comes to the Tribe of Dan (the tribe Judas Iscariot would belonged to) Jacob says
" Dan shall be a serpent by the way, an adder in the path, that bites the horse heels, so that his rider shall fall backward. Jacob then crys out
" II trust in you for salvation, O Lord."

The role of women in Judaism and in God plan of Salvation is greatly underestimated.

One Day She Will Crush The Head Of The serpent... is a very common understanding among the Catholic and Orthodox Christians.
Jesus has gained the victory and has given this task to Mary, as descendant of Eve, who was tricked ....Mary in turn has given this task to Michael the Archangel, who has battled for us and defend Humanity against the attacks of satan throughout history. There are many paintings and murals depicting the Victory.

O Happy Day!

Gen 3:15 And I will put enmity between you and the woman, and between your seed and her Seed; He will bruise your head, and you shall bruise His heel.

It is rather clear that it is Jesus who does the bruising of Satan.

Actually, it is also mentioned in Revelation 12:17:

Rev 12:17 And the dragon was enraged over the woman, and went away to make war with the rest of her seed, those keeping the commandments of God, and having the testimony of Jesus Christ.

There is some dispute as to who the woman here is, I tend to think it is Israel, considering the whole of the chapter, some say it is the Church.

The verse is talking first about Mary, Jesus was her seed, he showed the enmity when he called the religious leaders, sons of viper (sons of the serpent that is)

I think what is meant is that Jesus will be above him, thus crushing his head, and satan will be put down at Jesus' feet where he can only bruise his heel.

It is said: "Sit at my right hand until I make your enemies a footstool for your feet."

And so it was, Jesus was uplifted and satan the dragon or serpent thrown down to his feet.

Gen 3:15 And I will put enmity between you and the woman, and between your seed and her Seed; He will bruise your head, and you shall bruise His heel.

Her seed = her children, specifically Jesus Christ.

The serpent bruising the heel is symbolic of mortal death.

Crushing the serpent's head is the ability to overcome death through resurrection. This was done by her seed (Christ) and also enabled all of her seed (children) to overcome death as well.

1 Cor. 15:
22 For as in Adam all die, even so in Christ shall all be made alive.

Umm...that's because Jesus had a "heavenly" father. His human genes came from his mother, not from a man. This was not an error. Jesus is Mary's seed because no human man was involved--she was a virgin remember. I'm not sure I get the question.

Her SEED is not Mary herself, but Christ Jesus. Christ Jesus will crush the head of the serpent.

I just checked a dictionary to make sure, and "her" is a pronoun for any female. It does not refer only to Mary.

So you have about a 1 in 100,000,000,000 chance of being right... except not really, because that was written long before Mary was born.

I think the emphasis is on her "seed". No offense, but Mary can't do squat 2 save u from ur sins. Only J.C. can do that.

yes Eve the mother of all "living" meaning messiah from her lineage.
God is speaking directly to the serpent/satan/tree of knowledge of good and evil.

"Gen 3:15 And I will put enmity between thee and the woman, and between thy seed and her seed; it shall bruise thy head, and thou shalt bruise his heel."

bruised heel=crucifiction

crush thy head=7th trump mt of olives.
it being her seed which means messiah.
golly gee wally where did the serpent/satan have a seed planted? hmmmm. gee wally why isn't cain mentioned in adam's geneology? hmmmmmm.

better read it agin

to the putz below the hebrew is clear what is fem and not. to say "she" doens't work because the subject is the seed. not the woman. gong.
