I'm Roman Catholic. I went to a Roman Catholic school for 8 years and they never really taught us about different religions.
I know a couple of people who are Mormon.
I was wondering if someone could explain to me what the Mormon's religion is about, and what they believe. What's the difference between Mormon and Roman Catholic?
I would really appreciate it if someone could help me understand the difference between the religions. Please don't post non-helpful answers. Thank you to all who take the time to help me understand. :)

Is there a real advantage to eating dinner at the table compared to the couch? I don't really see how it could make a difference if the t.v. was on. I created a poll also, located here: http://www.apopularitycontest.com/display_poll.php?ID=5808

Like when you Christians say I am "choosing" to go to hell?

It seems like God interfered in that "free-will"?

Since God created Adam and Eve out of dust, why didn't he create more couples out of dust? and after he flooded the world, and left only moses - why didn't he create more people out of dust (or mud since everything was wet)

Sometimes we seek answers to problems in life but how do you know when God has answered? How do know when you have closed yourself up to what God really wants for you to do?

I hear that Al-Queda is Sunni. The Sunnis and Shiites love to kill each other. Could some Muslims fill me in?

A couple nights ago, my friend "Bob" and I made plans to hang out and go shopping on Tuesday. We haven't seen each other in a while.
Tonight, he sent me an IM while I was away saying "I just wanna make sure we're still on for tomorrow. Drop me a message. Oh, and my friend "Sally's" probably going to join us as well = ]"
By the time I read the message he already signed off, but I do have his text number.
Problem is...I'm hard of hearing so it is hard for me to hang out with more than one person at a time because I can't hear them well. I want to just hang out with "Bob," not "Sally." Was it rude for him to invite someone without asking me? And is it rude for me to ask him to tell her not to come? How do I ask him?
Thanks in advance for your answers!

Unheard voices scream in agony.
Above, a world away,
Angels run their fingers
Over ethereal harps.
The music resonates
In bodyless souls.
The same souls who sit and smile;
The memories of lost loved ones erased
By the serene music.
Forgetting them is the easiest way
To keep them faithful.
And looking on his flock,
God smiles.

I think forgetting a loved one is the worst torture that could ever be inflicted on a person. I think it's worse than an eternity in a lake of fire.
I'm not meaning to offend, this poem reflects how I feel.
I'm open to opinions and suggestions if you have any. Thanks.

She's 40 years old, and Yahoo is touting her like some icon. I was just curious. A lot of those feminist types don't get married, or they wait until they're middle aged women to start dating, and I was just wondering about her.
