Where do you usually eat dinner?

Question

Is there a real advantage to eating dinner at the table compared to the couch? I don't really see how it could make a difference if the t.v. was on. I created a poll also, located here: http://www.apopularitycontest.com/display_poll.php?ID=5808

AT the dinner table. Couch is for watching tv or entertaining guests. When you eat dinner you don't watch tv. When you watch tv you should not be eating dinner.

Mostly I eat at work..or in the car on the way home. Although my fiance and I eat on the couch where we are most comfy when we get the chance to eat together...and we choose the couch because the dinner table is usually crowded with work that he and I bring home! hehe
If we ever have kids, we'll probably try and move dinner to the table, but for now this works

Most of the time I eat at the table, but if I'm eating alone I sometimes go sit on the couch and watch TV while eating. When I eat alone I usually feel like I need to do something while I'm at it, so I either read at the table or go sit on the couch and watch TV.

hmm well im 17,
i live with my single mom,
and my 18 year old cousin.
i have a job,
and i dont get home til 11,
mom works from 2 pm to 4 am,
and my cousin is barely home.
we eat when its convenient for us,
where its convenient for us
(couch, room, on the computer table, on the bus, etc.)
the only time we eat meals together is at fam bbqs,
but we dont sit around a table,
we sit in a circle of folding chairs outside
talking story while the older people drink and smoke.
i love family time =]

If I'm home by myself, i'll usually eat in front of the couch or go outside and sit in the backyard or in my room, in front of the comp. yada yada. I even walked around the neighborhood once carrying around a bowl of noodles. =]. haha yeah, but when my parents are home i have to eat dinner on the table. to me eating is a comfort, and wen you eat you should eat where its most comfortable. my parents just make me eat on the table so i dont spill things everywhere.

mostly the table. the advantage of eating at the dinner table with the TV off is you will concentrate on eating and savoring your meal instead of mindlessly eating and over stuffing yourself in front of the TV.

I eat in the living room on the sofa in front of the TV. I have no one to share mealtimes with so I see no harm in eating in the living room where I am more comfortable.

Dinner should always be served at the dining table. Not only is it comfortable, it is also proper.
