Ok, first about the Sermon on the Mount(Matthew chapters 5-7), Jesus said "Do not think that I have come to abolish the Law or the Prophets; I have not come to abolish them but to fulfill them. I tell you the truth, until heaven and earth disappear, not the smallest letter, not the least stroke of a pen, will by any means disappear from the Law until everything is accomplished."

When Jesus died on the cross He said, "It is finished". What was finished? The fullfillment of the old laws. Later in the Sermon on the Mount, Jesus also tells us what we, as Christians, need to do....Read Matthew 5-7 and you will know what Christians need to do and some of our "values" we should have.

As far as the "it's the same God" thing, you need to realize also, that Jesus wasn't in the old testament. God laid down all those laws as punishment for all their sins...so when Jesus came back he told us(in Matthew 5-7) that that was the laws we need to follow not all the others.

When forming a sentence in past tense how do we determine with which verb we will use "etre" or "avoir". For example with verbs like naitre, aller ,monter, arriver, venir, enterer, passer, rester, partir, sortir, decendre, tomber, mourir etc we use etre, but how do we determine this?

These all verbs are from the 1st group i think?

Merci:)

I honestly see nothing wrong with it. I'm bi and I've been raised to beleive in God and I just can't see him shunning his children because of who they fall in love with. I was taught that God has your life planned out before you're even born, so that means that God PLANS who you fall in love with right? Besides, even though God told all the people who wrote the Bible to write, we cannot leave out that it was written by MAN. And well being gay wasn't exactly popular back then...

I know that no matter if I end up with a man or a woman that I'll still love and worship God regardless I just want to know people's opinions.

My mother is 73 and lives with us. She has her own car and drives to Walmart, to church and to get her hair done once a week. Honestly, I don't feel safe with her driving, but I don't want to humiliate her or take away her independence. She is starting to make dangerous, careless mistakes at home that just come with age. It makes me very sad for her. Problem...she wants to drive with my 9 year old son. My husband and I are both opposed, but I do not want to hurt her feelings.

There are some extremely fundamental groups out there that think that Haryy Potter is enticing children to become indoctrinated with witchcraft and socery. They site Biblical Verses that encourage the persecution and death of practictiners of the Black Arts. Some have even resorted to Harry Potter book burnings www.landoverbaptist.org/news1002/bookburning.html - 19k . How is this a necessary means to the matter of saving people's souls, I have no idea.

You say you don't believe in God, and you seem particularly opposed to the Christian concept thereof, but do you understand exactly what it is you are opposing?

Explain to me the plan of salvation as laid out in the New Testament of the bible. I am curious to see if you know exactly what it is you are rejecting as false.

What does this tell you? Anything new? How does it make you feel?

"It is part of the Mercy of Allah that thou dost deal gently with them. Wert thou severe or harsh-hearted, they would have broken away from about thee: so pass over (their faults), and ask for (Allah's) forgiveness for them; and consult them in affairs (of moment). Then, when thou hast taken a decision, put thy trust in Allah. For Allah loves those who put their trust (in Him). (The Noble Quran, 3:159)"

"Those who spend (freely), whether in prosperity, or in adversity; who restrain anger, and pardon (all) men; for Allah loves those who do good. (The Noble Quran, 3:134)"

"Hold to forgiveness; command what is right; but turn away from the ignorant. (The Noble Quran, 7:199)"

"Allah loveth not that evil should be noised a broad in public speech, except where injustice hath been done; for Allah is He Who heareth and knoweth all things. (The Noble Quran, 4:148)"

If you won, and Intelligent Design were taught in schools, what would you do if Islam and other religions were taught?

Islam, from what I've heard, is the fastest growing religion right now. So, if you win your court battles, it's likely that Islam will gain more followers than Christianity. In that case, would you still support the teaching of Intelligent Design in classrooms?

(I'm wondering if you really want to teach Creationism, or if you're wanting to get Christianity in the door. Because judging from current statistics, Christianity would lose out to Islam...)

I sit somewhere and have my coffee alone and some people sometimes have strange looks at me. But I like being alone, its more relaxing and I can think better this way. Another thing, I don't have much to say to people, I'm not talkative and really don't know what to say. The words just don't come out ! Sometimes people repeat something over and over but I don't have that habit. How do you carry out conversations ?
