What do Catholics believe about the Bible? How do they see it? The inerrant word of God? Factual? History? Moral guidelines? To be taken literally or to be taken figuratively?
I'm just curious. I have Catholic cousins...

That one of my guy friends is gay. Well, he doesn't know I know. But, we found gay p*rn sites on my boyfriends computer from one of the nights that his friend borrowed it. Then, we looked on his temp. files on his comp. and there are lots more of them. Its not viruses or anything like that because it is all at times when my boyfriend isnt in the apartment, and at blocks of time. He never ever ever seemed to me to be gay, so its very weird and new to me. I already tired telling him what i found and that I knew, but he wouldn't admit to it. Is there any way i can get him to confess??

Honestly! Both the Creationist theory and the theory of Evolution have major gaping holes in them! That's why they're theories! Plus *all* religions are based on something called "faith", which means that we can't prove it, but we *believe* it's true.

People act like there's no way science and God can work together at all. If God exists, then he made science. And if science is there, but can't explain everything, why can't there be a God?

Science has answered all the other questions. Is there anyway that I can keep myself from being scared of death or any other unkowns?

We are seeking to evolve our consciousness or enlighten ourselves....and yet the physical body will inevitably die.

We don't evolve towards death....so it seems that there must be more to this human life.

Thoughts??

Someone wrote:

"hell is NOT punishment. Anybody who ends up there CHOSE TO BE THERE."

I guess this is part of the reason I could never quite believe in god and his nonsense.

Any comments..?

A womans real beauty is found in the heart, not in the body. If you want to find a good man, cover up, and the dogs will pass you by.

You know, go give some blood rather than huddling in the church in prayer.

If you're gonna fight against abortion then start a charity that supports single mothers.

Sell some of your extra bibles to feed the poor.

Go teach illiterate children how to read.

Build a homeless man a home.

Most all religions are talking about "the Great Day of God Almighty" and the coming days of Armageddon.

Now that we know God's day of judgement is almost here, my question is : What are you doing , or changing, so that you may be one to survive Armageddon?

Before you answer, please read Revelation 7:11-17 where it speaks of those coming "out of the great tribulation"

alright, I know Helen is from Sparta and that the Spartan King goes to Troy for her.. but what's the timeline of when Troy was supposed to have happened and when the battle of Thermopaplye (sorry if its bad spelling) happened (aka 300)??

and i'm just spitballing here, but could the Spartan king who fought in Troy be related to King Leonidas of 300?? I'm just wondering because i am unsure of how kings and queens were appointed in Sparta.

Is Mohammed a prophet like Moses or is Jesus ?
“And the Lord said unto me, they have well spoken that which they have spoken, I will raise them up a Prophet from among their brethren, like unto thee, and will put my words in his mouth; and he shall speak unto them all that I shall command him.“ (Deuteronomy 18:17-18)

Who are the ''brethren'' of the Israelis ??

The answer is given in the bible itself in Gen. 16:12 & Gen. 25:18:

11 And the angel of the LORD said unto her, Behold, thou art with child and shalt bear a son, and shalt call his name Ishmael; because the LORD hath heard thy affliction.
Ishmael

12 And he will be a wild man; his hand will be against every man, and every man's hand against him; and he shall dwell in the presence of all his brethren.

Gen 25:17 And these [are] the years of the life of Ishmael, an hundred and thirty and seven years: and he gave up the ghost and died; and was gathered unto his people.
