Someone who comes on YA only to stir up trouble such as anyone with the initials KKK who posts racist comments. There will be a lot fewer of them when school starts back up hopefully. Also there are some who pick user names similar to other users or portray themselves as something they are not (Christian, atheist, gay, black, white, etc.) in order to discredit those people. Sometimes it is hard to tell if they are trolls or just ignorant. Check out mauw's answer in which she misspells atheists as an example.

Is a valid question. The problem with trolls, people that are here to insult or create chaos, is that sometimes a person believe that you are a troll just because you have few points and disagree with his believes. The line between a troll and a regular can be thin.
I agree with the Donkey.

You have the answers about what they post. Fine. Troll is also a question posed to get idiot answers. Do you know what it means to be "Punked"
The other meaning of troll is much darker. Stalkers, abusers, those who hack your account or get you banned from your server. That kind of malicious crap.
Rude ignorant stirrers of the turd pot are just minor annoyances. Malicious system abusers are worse.

A troll is someone who is out to antagonize, anger, or just bring down other people. They are usually flamers (verbal attackers) or the starters of flame wars. They will also use the violation abuse button on random things because it's there just begging to be used.

A troll is someone who deliberately makes offensive statements or asks offensive questions in the hope of provoking an angry reaction. There are way too many of them in the R&S section.

Normally someone who posts just to get a reaction.
Although the accusation is thrown around to legit "answerers" who give out answers that the "questioner" doesn't like.
