The people who end up in Hell are there because they rejected the Gospel. In that way, they did choose to be there, because they consciously chose to reject God's Word and God's way to escape Hell.

Many millions died after Jesus's presumed death and before having any chance to hear his story. It took a long time for missionaries to reach most of Asia, Africa, and the new world.
In what way did those people "choose"?

Hmmm... I'd say that Hell is punishment, although anybody who ends up there did indeed choose to be there. Not sure why this is part of the reason you don't believe in God though... care to elaborate?

The concept of Hell and Heaven are completely nonsense. Anyway if such places exist I'm on the waiting list to go to HELL.

All mankind is given the choice to accept Jesus Christ or to reject Him. Almighty God made it possible for mankind to have choice in where they choose to spend eternity. Eternity in Heaven with Jesus Christ or eternity in The Lake Of Fire with Satan and his demons.
Some can/will choose to reject, ignore, and/or dismiss Jesus Christ as the son of Almighty God and the ONLY redeeming Savior, who willingly died for their sins.
Some can/will choose to reject, ignore, and/or dismiss Almighty God as the one true and only God who created all things on Heaven and Earth.
Some can/will choose to reject, ignore, and/or dismiss
Satan, hell, and the Lake of Fire as pure myth.
All three of the above are choices.
I can refuse, ignore, or dismiss the belief that fire burns, that ice is cold, but that does not in any way change the truth of the matter.
But one day, REGARDLESS man's druthers, preferences, wishes, disbelief's, and/or desires ALL of mankind will stand in the presence of Almighty God and see Jesus Christ face-to-face.
And EVERY knee will bow, and EVERY tongue will admit and confess to the truth/Deity of Jesus Christ.
