So you are a brother of Eloy? Both of you have the same question.

Atheists would not be concerned if the christians' beliefs does not concern them. However, unfortunately, you see christians trying to alter the laws and educational system to suit their beliefs. You also see christians trying to brainwash atheists or other religions.

So in fact, you are right, Misery loves company ...... maybe that is why christians are such a miserable lot.

as some one who is neither I will give you an unbiased opinion(I hope so anyways). for hundreds of years terrible things have happened under the name of the Christian God. many today believe that their religion gives them the right to judge and say what they want. Today even many who call themselves Cristian's put those down and threaten others who do not believe as they do. The Atheist does not differ in this matter. Read many of there comments. Such things are said as "All people who believe in a god need to be locked up or put in an asylum." There are few in this world who can truly accept what others believe. There is intolerance on all sides. Each side has its advantages but these days all these sides just look at the weakness and the past wrongs done by people who have claimed a belief, even if it happened hundreds or even thousand of years ago. no one side is perfect so no one side will have perfect people in. My best advise is to forgive those who are unwilling to agree to disagree with you and then move on.

Why?
Cos it's every ThinkingPerson's duty to stamp out ThePlague of Theism.

InvisibleSkyCritters were made by Rulers and Scammers to explain questions asked by illiterate peasants and to keep them under control; most of these questions have been adequately answered by modern science.

Why would any thinking person believe there's an invisible man in the sky who watches everything they say, think and do, 24/7, like a SuperPeepingTom, whilst continuously whispering in their ears: you'd better suck up to me and love me or else I'll burn you in hell for all of eternity.

This is NOT love.
RealLove is given freely, unconditionally NOT under ThreatDuress.
What we have here is FEAR.

Now you Theists may SAY you love your SkyPixie but we Atheists know you only ‘love’ him cos you have no courage – you are fearful that you will be tossed in hell.

I gotta tell you, if your heaven accepts sanctimonious, arrogant Theists give me hell where Ghandi, Dalai Lama (he’s not dead yet but I doubt he’ll switch horses mid-race), John Lennon, and countless other THINKING people, hang out.

Misery MUST love company, that's why 80% of the world are Christians. It must be pretty miserable to have a lower IQ than atheists, have a higher jailing rate than atheists, kill more people than atheists, and, ironically, have a higher teen pregnancy rate than atheists. That doesn't sound like a group of happy people to me.

I'm not concerned with your beliefs - it is just that some Christians want fo force their beliefs on the rest of us - including our children.

I am concerned with Christians beliefs, and the beliefs of any other religion, that involves itself in MY government and tries to infest public schools with their bizarre and untrue beliefs and then try to pawn it off as being equal to real science. Keep your crap out of government and I'll cease to be concerned.

I've seen too many Christians conceal evidence of crimes, denounce victims who speak to the police, and refuse to testify in court about crimes they witnessed. The reasons they give me are that "everyone is a sinner," "all sins are equal in the eyes of God," and "Jesus forgives everyone."

When insane beliefs stop being the motive for actions, I'll stop caring about insane beliefs. Until that time comes, I intend to confront them whenever possible.

They are so drawn to us and to our believes, because there is something, somewhere inside of them, that is telling them that the Christian belief is what they should follow!
Of coarse, they fight against this feeling, because the devil is pulling them one way, and this feeling they have, is pulling them the other way, and unfortunately, they end up allowing the devil to have his way!
