"It is part of the Mercy of Allah that thou dost deal gently with them. Wert thou severe or harsh-hearted, they would have broken away from about thee: so pass over (their faults), and ask for (Allah's) forgiveness for them; and consult them in affairs (of moment). Then, when thou hast taken a decision, put thy trust in Allah. For Allah loves those who put their trust (in Him). (The Noble Quran, 3:159)"
"Those who spend (freely), whether in prosperity, or in adversity; who restrain anger, and pardon (all) men; for Allah loves those who do good. (The Noble Quran, 3:134)"
"Hold to forgiveness; command what is right; but turn away from the ignorant. (The Noble Quran, 7:199)"
"Allah loveth not that evil should be noised a broad in public speech, except where injustice hath been done; for Allah is He Who heareth and knoweth all things. (The Noble Quran, 4:148)"

view this link to see the right way of treating Muslims and non-Muslims.
The Prophet (peace be upon him) was the symbol of God’s mercy to all mankind. And because he is a mercy, the Prophet (peace be upon him) was kind to every one, believers and nonbelievers. He was kind and friendly to the nonbelievers of Makkah, despite of their violent opposition to Islam. He was also kind and friendly to those who followed him and supported his message.
The Prophet also had treaties with the Jews of Madinah. He respected these treaties until the Jews themselves broke them. Also he, with all manners of kindness, received in his mosque a Christian delegation from Najran. Although they argued with him about Islam, he even allowed them to pray in his mosque and returned them to Najran with honor and respect.
Allah firmly tells us what means:
*{Ye have indeed in the Apostle of God a beautiful pattern (of conduct) for any one whose hope is in God and the Final Day, and who engages much in the Praise of God.}* (Al-Ahzab 33:21)
Consequently, it is among the qualities of good believers, to emulate the character of the Prophet, whom God Almighty has described in the Noble Qur’an as what means:
*{And thou (standest) on an exalted standard of character}* (Al-Qalam 68:4)
Obviously, conveying the message of Islam requires an interaction with others. The best form of interaction is that which is based on friendship, justice, and mutual respect. Therefore, a Muslim is allowed to take a non-Muslim for a friend. Allah says what means:
*{God forbids you not, with regard to those who fight you not for (your) Faith nor drive you out of your homes, from dealing kindly and justly with them: for God loveth those who are just.}* (Al-Mumtahanah 60:8)
A friendship based on sincerity, kindness, respect, and justice produces good results. It allows the non-Muslim friends, business partners, colleagues, and neighbors to see the values of Islam. This will definitely bring them closer to the right path. Many of those who opposed the Prophet (peace be upon him) and fought him, later embraced Islam and followed him, only because of the Prophet's morals and kind manners toward others!
Good manners in dealing with people, therefore, are among the recommended practices that have been emphasized by our faith. The Prophet said:
"I was sent to complete the best manners."
Islam teaches us that we should deal even with our enemies with the best of manners, let alone our non-Muslim friends, or those who simply disagree with us.
For instance, Allah commanded us not to curse other faiths or what the others worship:
*{Revile not ye those whom they call upon besides God, lest they out of spite revile God in their ignorance...}* (Al-An`am 6:108)
Allah even teaches us how to act politely when others disrespect Him and mock the faith of Islam, as described in the following verse:
*{Already has He sent you Word in the Book, that when ye hear the signs of God held in defiance and ridicule, ye are not to sit with them unless they turn to a different theme...}* (An-Nisaa' 4:140)
Hence, in such cases, Allah asked us to leave politely and kindly, not to curse or attack them back, even - more important, not to abandon their company forever. Instead, He said, we are allowed to go back to their company once they change the subject. Evidently, the wisdom behind this kindly act is to enable us to convey the message of Islam by obliging them to respect our faith, at least in our presence. This, in itself, is an important step towards conveying the message.

Your quotes from holy Qur'an are right.Muslims should respect, love and help each other muslims and non muslims..We are brothers and sisters from our ancestors Adam and Eve.Our religion is ours.Their religion is theirs. We should strengthen our relationship or silaturahmi with other muslim.By strengthening it we can earn livelihood or rezeki and we will have long lives. We should obey what Allah has instructed in the holy Qur'an as our guide in our daily livesWe should pay donation/alm because a small part (2.50% up to 10%) in our income there is a right of the poor, orphan and other who has the right of it.We should treat kindly our neighbours muslims and non muslims too.We should treat well also our enemy or someone who has ill intention to us and hope that God will forgive him/her and show him/her the right path..We should show a good behaviour of muslim to non muslims, that Islam is a peace religion. We should thank or grateful to Allah of what goodness have been received up to day and we should be patient if God gave us a bad luck today. We hope and pay a prayer to Allah that today will be better than yesterday and tomorrow will be better than today..We should forgive someone muslim or non muslim who has fault on us.We must pray at least 5 times a day and pay a prayer for all of muslims the goodness, prosperity and healthy. We should treat tolerantly to non muslims who have a good intention to us.But we can not pay a prayer for them because Allah prohibites it.

Islam is the religion of peace, The holy Quran is a book which tells us how to live life in this world & how to have better life after this world.
As you have quoted many verses from the Quran, it tells us how to behave with other people when they rude with us. & Forgiveness is also given importance in many places, as Allah loves those who forgive.
If a person follows the Quran in all aspects, then the people who know him/her will acknowledge that "He/she is a good person because he/she is a Muslim".
This should be the first impression that a Muslim should have on other Muslims/Non Muslims. Set an example, "I am a good human being because I am good Muslim".

Muslims should treat others with kindness and honesty instead of with the deceit you try to use against them.
The Koran is not the perfectly peaceful book you keep claiming it to be. Stop lying. The Koran also says:
[2.193] And fight with them until there is no persecution, and religion should be only for Allah, but if they desist, then there should be no hostility except against the oppressors.
[4.89] They desire that you should disbelieve as they have disbelieved, so that you might be (all) alike; therefore take not from among them friends until they fly (their homes) in Allah's way; but if they turn back, then seize them and kill them wherever you find them, and take not from among them a friend or a helper.
[8.39] And fight with them until there is no more persecution and religion should be only for Allah; but if they desist, then surely Allah sees what they do.
Muslims should stop denying the contents of their sacred texts. They should admit the evil that it contains and consciously turn away from it.
Ignoring the evil of the Koran will not make it go away. Only by condemning the evil of the Koran will that evil ever be eliminated this world we share.

Assalaamu Alaikum wa Rahmatullahi wa Barakatuh. : There is no Ikrah (compulsion) in Islam. : Islam lays great stress on intelligent understanding and not on compulsion, as anything achieved by compulsion can never be lasting. : Which clearly means that nobody could be converted to Islam forcibly! : Allah Subhanahu wa Ta'ala has revealed through the Qur'ân so clearly as to enable one to distinguish between right and wrong, and it is now for the people to use their intelligence to find out the right path! : Laid down by the Qur'ãn, the path to follow: Auzu Billahi Minashaitanir Rajim. Bismillahir Rahmaanir Raheem. . "O you who believe! Enter into Islam whole heartedly, and follow not the footsteps of the evil one, for he is to you an avowed enemy." (S.2 V.208) . "There should be no compulsion in religion. Surely, right has become distinct from wrong, so whosoever refuses to to be led by those who transgress and believes in Allah Subhanahu wa Ta'ala, has surely grasped a strong handle which does not break. And Allah Subhanahu wa Ta'ala is All-Hearing, All-Knowing." (S.2 V.256) . "Time is the witness! Indeed, man is at loss, except those who have faith and do good deeds, counselling each other of truth and counselling each other of patience." AS all are one, separation being an illusion, existing in interdependence with all else that exist, how one treasts the other ones is how one treats ones self.
MIndful awareness shows each that compassion, kindness and love lead to peace and understanding, harmony and happiness.
The Holy Qur'an is correct.
May it all be well with you.

Muslims should treat everyone and everything with kindness, love, respect, whether they be muslim, christian, jewish, taoist, hindu, or even a frog, you are obliged in islam to treat everything with the utmost kindess and respect.
as to xena's query about jihad, you need to explain yourself. i don' see what you mean by how does jihad fit into this. besides just to correct you, you've managed to misconstrew the true meaning of jihad. jihad doesn't mean holy war against the infidels, but jihad means a war with yourself, and surpressing your desires to achive a higher awareness of the magnanimity of Allah swt.

Muslims should treat fellow Muslims with love and respect.
Muslims also ought to treat non-Muslims (read 'infidels') with due love and respect. But this is regarded as contentious by many!

I Position of Jesus (pbuh) in Islam:
(i) Islam is the only non-Christian faith, which makes it an article of faith to believe in Jesus (pbuh). No Muslim is a Muslim if he does not believe in Jesus (pbuh).
(ii) We believe that he was one of the mightiest Messengers of Allah (swt).
(iii) We believe that he was born miraculously, without any male intervention, which many modern day Christians do not believe.
(iv) We believe he was the Messiah translated Christ (pbuh).
(v) We believe that he gave life to the dead with God’s permission.
(iv) We believe that he healed those born blind, and the lepers with God’s permission.
