Not enough

2007-08-12 19:33:10 · answer #1 · answered by JND 4 · 4 0

Why do people insist it is the Churches' fault? It isn't. The blame rests solely on some sick men who became priests and proclaimed themselves Christians. What they did doesnt reflect a single member of the Catholic Faith. The church is taking the blame because there is no way for those priests to pay off those lawsuits.
So STOP OVERGENERALIZING/ I am a former Roman Catholic and I have never touched anyone or anything inappropiately. nor has anyone I have known...except for some dirty Baptists...now how does that feel?

Starjumper: Do you think the Holy Catholic Church really has a Child Molestation Insurance Policy? Come on now! That "insurance" is for times like these when the only people to blame are the priests, not the church. Eventually they will all have to pay. And sooner or later, they will be excommunicated from the Church and they will be convicted sex offenders for the rest of their God given lives. If the Catholic Church has such a policy, then it makes you wonder what Michael Jackson has???!!!

When its all said and done, how much do you think the day care owners and high school teachers and babysitters and protestant pastors and troop leaders not to mention parents who keep their children locked in closets etc will have to pay?

Do not single Catholics out. Especially when every day in the news is another story of a High School or Junior High School teacher messing around with students. Either be balanced about the issue of pedophilia and back off the Catholics or don't bring it up at all.

J.

More then what the protestants churches need to pay, of course. Not because the protestants churches are cleaner, but because protestants churches automatically denounce the responsibility of what their pastors had done while the catholic church face up to their responsibilities.

Not enough by half. I heard that the Catholic church will not pay a dime because they have INSURANCE for this type of thing. How sick is that? They know this happens and have covered their bases instead of removing those priests who rape children's bodies and souls. I'm not sure this is fact about the insurance, but if it is, it will surely come to light.

only who did it will have to pay. I'm catholic. I don't support what happened. Its not my fault.

How much will they pay and how? I don't want to think about that. but they should feel the same violation i think

This wasn't the act of the Catholic Church. It's the act of some sick people that became Priests.
