I think that many of us are inclined to cry wolf and say that critics of the LDS Church are "Anti-Mormon" and "spreading lies" about the Church to defame us, when often, such criticisms are not only based in truth, but motivated by a desire to "help us."

In my years of studying the history and doctrinal breadth of our Church (one of my passions), I have come to the realization that there is simply too much history and doctrine for any one person to know, and that the Church selectively chooses to teach us that doctrine and history which is most vital and most relevant to our salvation, not to mention the most faith-promoting. In the shuffle, there is a lot of doctrine and history that tends to go unmentioned in the Sunday School manuals, the Ensign magazines, and the General Conference talks. Since the internet wasn't around 50 years ago, a lot is missing from lds.org as well.

Seriously: one can thank one's fellow men and women for racism of any sort. How many Anglo-Saxons have you ever talked with, to find out WHY they are racist? Maybe they were offended by rude or violent behaviour by people of other races.

For example, one of my dearest friends was harassed at the hospital in Chicago's West Side by an African American woman. My friend was just standing by the directory board, trying to get some information. The woman pushed up against her, for no reason that we can figure.

I've heard much how Blacks discriminate against not only Whites, but against Jews, Asians, and Latin Americans. So if there is some resentment against this, maybe this is part of the "fuel" which keeps the flames of racism burning.

Racism is an "interactive" thing. People who are abusive are often abused before in life. As a non-African, I have been the target of hate stares, discrimination in a workplace setting, mugging, and harrassment in other ways. Because of a F

I think it's impossible to validly argue for both at the same time.

I'm talking about evolution from the universe's 'Big Bang' to the point we are at right now. If the universe was created from nothingness, stars were born, the Earth was formed, life popped out of nowhere, 1-celled organisms mutated into complex beings, and humans eventually became what they are today, where do ghosts fit into the equation?

Evolution is based upon, what evolutionists call, 'hard facts', but how could these hard facts explain the origin, creation, and existence of beings without physical bodies?

Why is it that in today's world, us christians are giving ourselves a bad reputation? I can honestly see how other religions find us so unattractive! We seem so fake! I know that I'm not but why is our image portraited this way? I challenge every TRUE Christian to step up!!!!!!!

Anything goes.

Me? I'd like to be cremated/burned. That's mostly because if I'm simply mistaken for being dead and am not really, I'd rather receive a few minutes of blinding pain than a much longer time slowly suffocating and going out of my mind.

Faith - noun
1. belief that is not based on proof: He had faith that the hypothesis would be substantiated by fact.
2. belief in God or in the doctrines or teachings of religion: the firm faith of the Pilgrims.
3. belief in anything, as a code of ethics, standards of merit, etc.: to be of the same faith with someone concerning honesty.
4. a system of religious belief: the Christian faith; the Jewish faith.

How atheism fits under any of these I would love to know, I really would, if you can prove to me how Atheism fits under any of these definitions, I will chose your answer as the best.

So the question is How does Atheism fit under any of these definitions.

I mean, he was an angel, far superior to mankind. If he didn't think it was worth asking for God's forgiveness so that he could go to heaven, then why should mankind do all of the groveling?

Perhaps it isn't so fantastic a place to be.

How are the teachings of Christianity any different from Greek Mythology, which most of us believe were just myths. The ancient greeks thought this was right but know we think/know it was wrong. How is Christianity any different, we basically know that it is wrong if you use logic and science?

TT has tried to back off asking offensive questions about Jesus and stuff like that but he got angry this morning because a bunch of Christians were insulting him. He has a bit of a temper sometimes and he reacted poorly. He says the w*nking question was out of line.

TT never means to insult anyone or their beliefs and he says his questions are meant in good fun.

(BTW, when he emailed me. He said he had a bad tempter.)
