I'm not trying to be racist, I asked a simple question that I've been wondering for a while now and tried to ask it as best I could. I'm not a racist, thats whats so insane about this.

They don't. It just that you've probably met a lot of Jewish people who are descended from immigrants from Eastern Europe, where a big nose is helpful in the cold climate. Some Jews have curly red hair and little noses. Some have skin as black as coal and others look like Swedish athletes. Doesn't have anything to do with noses.

A) Not true. Ethiopian Jews have the same Hamitic nose as other black Africans.
B) Most Jews, however, are Semitic. Their "Jewishness" is as much a matter of racial ancestry as religious conviction.
C) Many Muslims, especially those of the Near East, share that particular proboscis feature as they too are Semitic in their genetic ancestry.
D) There are also many Semites who are Christian and they too have that nasal feature.
It's NOT the faith, it's the genes!

To that person, Ethiopian Jews are semitic. Read a book.
Also there is no such thing as a 'hamitic nose'. That's the same as saying there is a 'Jewish nose'

Um... What is the "Patented Jewish Nose?" Do you mean that their noses are big? Not true. My friend is Jewish, and she has a really cute nose, the perfect size for her face.

"Jews" is a unique terms... it describes both a race and a religion. You could be a Russian Jew, a German Jew, a Jewish Jew, etc.
So no... you don't have to be Jew.
Plus, the patent would have run out by now.

wow. seriously. not all jews have a 'jewish nose' and plenty of non-jews have very large noses. im jewish, and i know i dont have a 'jewish nose'. have some respect
and by the way-JEW IS NOT A RACE! why are people so dumb? judaism is a religion.
