I think it's impossible to validly argue for both at the same time.
I'm talking about evolution from the universe's 'Big Bang' to the point we are at right now. If the universe was created from nothingness, stars were born, the Earth was formed, life popped out of nowhere, 1-celled organisms mutated into complex beings, and humans eventually became what they are today, where do ghosts fit into the equation?
Evolution is based upon, what evolutionists call, 'hard facts', but how could these hard facts explain the origin, creation, and existence of beings without physical bodies?

I know some Christians, and possibly others, believe that evolution happened in the manner described above, but the evolution was pushed along by God making the creatures more complex and made one create more human-like until it came into its present state. I'm not referring to that... I mean the creation of everything out of nothin.

Of course! Ghosts evolved from single-celled ghosts, which were created by the Ghost God, also known as "Slimer."

1) That isn't evolution, Jordy. Evolution is a biological process that allows a creature to adapt to survive in its environment. It has nothing to do with Big Bang, Abiogenesis or anything else. What you're describing is a typical naturalistic viewpoint (based on valid scientific research) on the universe, not simply an "evolutionist's" point of view.
2) There is no "official" explanation for ghosts as yet. I have had an experience that I can only describe as ghostly in nature so I cannot ignore the idea that ghosts do exist in some shape or form, but what they are is completely beyond me, and most of the world it seems, at the moment.
So basically, I'm not saying anything final until something is proven. For all I know they may not even be supernatural at all.

I do. Here's my explanation: evolution explains the development of the physical body, which is a part of this physical plane. However, there are other planes beyond the physical, where other forms of energy coalesce to form souls. These souls can look through a body in the physical plane in order to "live," as we understand it. This physical life is a learning experience. The ghosts that some people encounter are spirits that are peering into this plane without attatching themselves to a body. They are not related to the physical plane. It's more like a fishbowl in a room. The physical plane is the fishbowl, the room is the spiritual plane.
It makes sense to me. If it doesn't to you, that's fine.

Evolution is a fact of the natural world. Spirits are a fact of the spiritual world. There is no conflict between the two. Obviously science cannot explain anything supernatural, any more than scripture can explain complex natural processes.

you can accept evolution and believe in ghosts at the same time. just like you can accept evolution and still believe in God. When you chose to use science and facts to form your understanding of the world, it doesn't prevent you from forming beliefs on things that science doesn't cover well.

I believe in evolution, and while I say I believe in ghosts, I know it is impossible. Kind of like what Kyon said in the second episode of The Melancholy of Suzumiya Haruhi. I wish they were real, but I know they aren't.

There are probably some Christians that would fall into that classification. They would think God started evolution.

evolution is the scientific way the universal God created the physical realm, and has nothing to do with the spiritual realm.

I believe in both possibilites. I have seen evidence of both. I do not negate the possibility of different realms of consciousness/matter/submatter etc, etc.
