I don't know about other Christians, but I don't think any of us grasp on what's to come - if we're going to be who we are now, or who we were, or who we'll become. Whos's to know if we'll even be in the form we are now, and not just beams of light. That's the thing - noone truly knows! I've often wondered if we going to be the age we passed away at forever, or young again, or what but I think we'll have to trust that we'll be something at least :)...I've often heard people say that you know everything afterwards, but we can't know it now. I guess just try to think as Alzheimer's as an affliction to our physical self - separate from the spirit. I probably sound dumb, but I'm trying! Good question though, have a good day.

Alzheimer's destroys physical memory. And spiritual memory cannot be downloaded into the physical brain, or we would remember our past lives. Your example proves nothing.
BTW, how do YOU explain NDE's and OOBE's where people have memories of events that happen while they are flatlined? Including being able to 'read' the serial numbers on the crash cart in the room?????

The soul is not within our mind. It's within our heart. If you've ever studied Alzheimer's, you would know that it only effects memory. Memories are not a part of the soul.
The soul is where people draw their morals and values from. It defines what kind of person we are, not what we've experienced.
Thanks and GOD Bless.

The two are tied together, and, what evidence???
I mean, come on, really.
This is a little lean don't ya think.
Your hate for God and His people is being fogged by direct proportion to the physical deterioration of the brain. lol.
You guys are always learning and never able to come to the knowledge of the truth.
very sad, indeed.

Generalizing.... you should direct your question to the misinformed 'Christians' who believe that we all posess an immortal souls. Those of us who are familiar with Ecclesiastes 9:5 ('The dead know nothing') and Ezekiel 18:4 ('The soul...itself will die') are well aware that all consciousness ceases at death, which is in perfect harmony with science.

It's all those psychic shows for me..(not a religious thing) and my own psychic experiences that make me wonder. As far as Alzheimers goes.. not that I really know.. but things can have existence even if they don't have proper expression.. like a person who can't talk still has intellect.

Easy. Alzheimer's is obviously caused by the soul trying to check out early.

The soul is different than the personality. The soul is the spiritual connection to the whole universe.....to a Creator...energy?

Who knows, but I believe in spirits, so I guess it's not all Christians, there's part of you (the conscience) that doens't go away (that I'm aware of) but Alzheimers Diseas is sad. But who knows what happens after you die?
