I mean, he was an angel, far superior to mankind. If he didn't think it was worth asking for God's forgiveness so that he could go to heaven, then why should mankind do all of the groveling?

Perhaps it isn't so fantastic a place to be.

And if he did ask for forgiveness and God rejected him, then what does that tell you about God?

Well, would you want to live in a place run by someone who kills entire planets when he has a tantrum, holds generations accountable for the transgressions of their forefathers, and demands blood sacrifices to appease his anger?

It seems to me that in the story Satan shouldn't be considered the rebel who fell, he should be considered the lucky one who escaped.

By the way, I am using the NT Satan here. In the OT, Satan was a servant of God and never rebelled or "fell".

Georgia has a good point - if all gay people are going to hell, then it is going to be much better decorated and neater than heaven.

Lucifer became forged out after a conflict in heaven. This term arises out of Rev. 12:7 and refers back to the conflict that occurred in the premortal life between the spirit little ones of God. The conflict became by and great over how and in what way the plan of salvation could be administered to the drawing close human kinfolk upon the earth. the matters in touch such issues as agency/loose will, a thank you to benefit salvation, and who might desire to be the Redeemer. The conflict broke out using fact one-0.33 of the spirits refused to settle for the appointment of Jesus Christ using fact the Savior. the style of refusal became a insurrection against the father’s plan of redemption. It became obvious that if given agency, some persons could fall wanting finished salvation; Lucifer and his followers wanted salvation to come back promptly to all who undergone mortality, without regard to guy or woman determination, agency, or voluntary dedication (see Isa. 14:12–20; Luke 10:18; Rev. 12:4–13. The spirits who as a result rebelled and persisted have been thrust out of heaven and forged right down to the earth without mortal bodies, “and as a result got here the devil and his angels” (see Rev. 12:9).

Satan, aka Lucifer, is God's enemy. Remember that Satin is trying to prove that man kind is only loyal to God for the good things God gives. God can't destroy Satan because the issue of who people will follow hasn't been settled. If God did destroy Satan now, it could be taken by men and angels as admission by God that Satan was right. Satan uses every way he can to taunt God. Notice what God says at Proverbs 27:11 "Be wise, my son, and make my heart rejoice, that I may make a reply to him that is taunting me".

Same reason why mankind will not repent their SINS even after the nukes are used in hatred. PRIDE, AND REBELLION UN ABLE TO HUMBLE YOURSELVES.

That is why she will not come back.

Rev 9:20 And the rest of the men which were not killed by these plagues yet repented not of the works of their hands, that they should not worship demons, and Gods of gold, and silver, and brass, and stone, and of wood: which neither can see, nor hear, nor walk:

Rev 9:21 Neither repented they of their murders, nor of their sorceries, nor of their FORNICATION, nor of their thefts.

Two words: bad breakup.

Honestly, it's kinda like having an ex-. There's probably a *lot* of hurt feelings and personal angst, and I'm entirely willing to believe that Satan, every so often, makes those drunken, 2 am, "I hate you, but I still think we can get back together" phonecalls. ;)

If you are a person with hatred and evil in your heart you could never be happy in heaven where God is worshipped and everyone is loving and wonderful. Satan would never have asked God's forgiveness because he knew he could not be happy with God. What is wonderful to one is not always wonderful to another. That is why when they say, "How can God send anyone to hell?" it makes no sense. People choose heaven or hell. God wants all of us to be with him in heaven, but he wants us to freely choose it. Hell is simply a lack of good or God which will be unfulfilling and miserable but not because of fire and brimstone.

Satan is the force of good in heaven, he wanted to open mankind's eyes while god wanted us stupid and worshipful.

You get a little hypothetic there--Lucifer has free will JUST LIKE YOU--and God is to strict for you. Nice to know you believe the Bible is true. Blessings

I think you may be right. I've wondered about that many times. Anything that is too good to be true always is. Besides, spend eternity with Christians? That sounds more like hell to me.

In the book of Job he just walks into heaven.

I am telling you he got a great deal free to do what ever and hit heaven up when ever he wants.
