Let me say first that I am not a big Harry Potter fan.

From what I see though, kids LOVE it. So my question is, why would you deprive your child of reading something that they will enjoy? Fantasy is wonderful for a child's mind, for their imagination and creativity. What is so evil about it?

You can tell your child about burning in hell for eternity with the devil. You can tell them about Jesus being nailed to a cross. If they can handle that then why can't they handle a great children's book?

Don't you think that that's going a little to far? It's one thing not letting them watch MTV. I'm no where near religious and I refuse to get cable because I don't want my son watching MTV or a number of other channels and shows on television.

I'm just wondering, what harm will Harry Potter do to your child?

The best thing that your child can do is read. Jesus isn't going to make them smart and get them good grades, even though I bet you think that.

Christians believe that jesus will return to judge people on the last day

but i say that jesus comes to me each time i meet a nother human being who is sick, suffering or homelss

I mean if people had the opportunity to live together on this Earth,with no existing boundaries or borders,no separate states or countries,but together under one rule and law as brothers and sisters,would they do it,or is man's anger,violence and impatience too great to be overcome?

I don't mean to get all feminist, but I was just imagining if women could make babies on their own without the help of men, and we didn't need men, what would the world be like. It seems to be men at the root of a lot of problems, men control the countries, create the wars, control the media, make women think that they have to look a certain way to be accepted into society. Just wondering what other people think on the matter? Hehehe I bet I'm going to get a few abusive replies to this question!
