This world needs MORE huggers. Our society has become SO afraid of the human touch that many even seem to be repulsed by the offer of a warm hug. I saw a show one day, a while ago about someone in a large city who wasd offering "Free Hugs". He carried a sign proclaiming that he was offering them and I was surprised at how many people accused him of every nasty thing in the book. He was even approached by law enforcement for "solicitatioin". Can you believe that? He had to tell and explain what he was doing to them in order to NOT be arrested. I think we shold ALL be huggers. I proclaim this week as National "Hug a Stranger week". Go out and find someone who looks like they could really use a hug and just DO it.

I'll hug my husband, but I'll just have to send mental hugs to everyone else. Most everyone else I love is about 8,000 miles away. I somehow don't think it would be possible to hug them.

And what a sweet, uplifting article! I'd love to meet that lady...and hug her!

What a beautiful heart she has! And to think that she would raise $1,000,000 for Hurricane Katrina relief, when India has so many poor, is just heart warming and inspiring.

Because I am above "love".

If I hug someone today, it is because they are comfortable and I intend to use them as a pillow.
