If you know someone's soul is going to be eaten by Ammut shouldn't you try to save them?? They have been led astray by Set's lies, Anubis guide them. Repent and convert! It's not too late!

Let's see if any Christians see the irony in this post

Drinks of me guys I have to go and write a paper.

I realize that the word is a part of the American vernacular, but I'm simply curious if there are people who refuse that term on principle.

I have asked many questions about the flawed theology of the WBTS....and answered many questions posted concerning JW's.

Over and over again they resort to calling me names...blocking my questions and answers, and resorting to very unchristian tactics.

Why? I worship at a Baptist church ( I do not refer to myself as a Baptist) and people criticize the theology that I believe in all of the time, and I do not call them liars, or names, or bash them?>., I actually go into the scriptures and see if they have a point..Isn't this what God calls us to do?

Whether you call me a Liar, or an apostate or a troublemaker....is no skin off my back, but I can point out how unloving and unchristian your behaviour is.

How do you personally tell the difference between an event that is coincidental, and one that is God-incidental? In other words, what drives you to personally conclude whether a particular event was influenced by the hand of God, or whether it was simply an act of pure random chance?
Where do you draw the line between coincidence and "God-incidence"?

It appears he was condemned by early Christianity to keep wandering forever after meeting Jesus...this to fulfil a prophecy that Jesus would come again in the lifetime of at least one person who had seen him first time round...this wandering Jew must be very frail by now...who is he? anyone know? Where can I read about him?

The early christians were a bunch of different sects that each had differing beliefs to each other.

Many of them were gnostics.

These included Paul, the earliest known author of the new testament (see attached article)
http://www.geocities.com/Athens/Styx/8676/files/paulgno.htm

Weren't these different sects brought together for political rather than theological reasons?

When christianity's earliest author was a gnostic, and wrote his letters from that perspective, why has the gnostic element of christianity all but disappeared?

Do modern day christians actually believe that early christians believed the same as they do?

Why do so many christians say "the truth of christianity hasn't changed in 2000 years" when the evidence suggests that what it presents as truth has?

Yesterday, I was reading all the different answers and alot of them really resonated with me. I could see and feel the truth and depth in them.
Today, I read them again, and many seem kinda flat and lifeless. Why does the magic come and go like that?
How can I learn to hold that mindset of seeing the truth all the time? Is that even possible? (I'm referring to intuitive truth and spiritual insight.)

It is hugely affecting me spine and my feet burn like I have been walking on hot charcoals all night. I am so stiff, can't get out of bed with out my pain medication. I have been diagnosed with everything from degenerative spine to arthritic spine to fibromyalgia. It is affecting my entire body, my hands, my legs, my back is killing me. Do you have anything like this and what is it? Do you have any recommendations on how to loosen my spine and relieve the pain? Does Castor Oil help? If you suffer from any thing like this please advise me. Thank You.

I cannot conceive of a God who rewards and punishes his creatures, or has a will of the type of which we are conscious in ourselves. An individual who should survive his physical death is also beyond my comprehension, nor do I wish it otherwise; such notions are for the fears or absurd egoism of feeble souls.

This is a survey for people who think religion is illogical and don't believe that anything exists in any form except for matter and energy (except for vacuums), also known as atheists. It's not for Buddhists however.

3: Do you believe it's always a bad thing to lie? If not, in what instances do you believe it is good?

Again this is only a survey for atheists. Also if you are not an atheist please don't vote on the answers, as I want to see which answers most atheists approve of.

't Hooft got a Nobel prise for his contribution to Quantum Mechanics. His theory is being hotly debated by Mathematicians and Physics departments world wide as it seems to prove that free will does not exist, that everything that is done and that we do, was determined at the time of the Big Bang.

Some Mathematicians feel we need to redefine what Free Will means.

Could this be a case of Science being used to prove some of the tenants contained within religious beliefs?

Twice this week at R&S I've read that Jesus told His disciples to avoid the Gentiles. Is that what you actually believe?

One person cited Matthew 15:24-26, but deliberately left off the rest of the verses. It doesn't get much more dishonest than that. Verses 27-28 complete the story.

Matthew 10:5-6 was cited, but without understanding. First to the Jew, then to the Gentile is a theme that runs throughout Matthew. Matthew 28 conatins "The Great Commission."

Verses will be posed as additional material.
