I have pondered this question as well. Is it possible that these folks are in such need to be accepted, having some instability within themselves that causes them to convince another? Are they needed to convince others so to convince themselves? Are they SO intolerant that all is wrong if have own thoughts or beliefs? The real question is why do they feel necessary to do so. ...are they doing what they were told and have no thoughts of their own?
I believe that this question of yours will insight many Christians into making intolerant comments to you because this is not an activity they do or promote. This I do agree; however, I have had such Christian solicitors come to my door and become rather rude after I reveal my Wiccan faith, thank them for coming and ask them to be on their way. I also have a neighbor who has become very rude to me, talking to other neighbors. and so on making truly ugly comments regarding my beliefs; yet, I have only been nice to her and her family...just existed. I have been in this home for 20 years and all those who have known me for many years do not agree with her comments or beliefs about me and my family because they base their behaviors on my actions and behaviors. I acutally am a very kind, compassionate person who does not discuss, push my beliefs on anyone; however, will openly answer any questions so to educate and create a better understanding of myself and my beliefs.
I will be watching the answers of your questions for I am as curious of what others feel as well.
I hope you find the answer you seek...
Blessings from a Wiccan

I am a Christian and not all Christian's are like that. I actually do not tell people that they will go to hell. If someone asks me about my religion then I will talk to them. If there is a question or comment on here that I do not agree with I will answer but I do not get in someones face and shove it down their throats. That is not the way of a true Christian. And as far as money is concerned most Christians like myself give money to the church to support the works of the church but that is the church that I am a member of. "Each man should give what he has decided in his heart to give, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver". He does not want money from people who do not want to give.

Most religions that goes from door to door are JW, When they come to my house, if you don't want them to stay too long just sit down in a chair & open your bible up, they will leave. True you may have a few others coming to your house. They should never ask for money, PERIOD. As far as you are tired of them telling you that you are going to hell, only you & God knows, You know if you are a True Christian or not. I have been a Christian over 37 yrs. & I have religious people today tell me I am going to hell, does that bother me, Not one bit, Because if they can back up anything they tell me, I will listern, but they can not back it up by scriptures, They only try to remember what their preacher told them, & soon they leave also.

i'm a Christian. yet I agree that, on many activities, Christians do shove their faith down different persons's throats. every time somebody tells an atheist that they are going to hell because of the certainty that they do no longer sense- it particularly is persecution. The belongings you reported approximately little ones getting suspended, that doesn't maximum in many circumstances ensue and that i agree that it particularly is incorrect. although so some distance as educating evolution... constructive, i think that it particularly is superb that infants learn evolution, in preference to something their lecturers ensue to believe. Evolution is variety of a confirmed certainty (to no longer ingredient out, it does not conflict with faith the way everybody looks to sense it does), at a similar time as religions are faith-based. different than for, if we are speaking approximately persecution and stereotypes, permit's seem at your assertion "If the persons had it their potential we’d all be ineffective slaughtered like Hitler did to the Jews." you're of course basically claiming that one and all atheists prefer all Christians ineffective. do no longer you assume it particularly is slightly persecuting and stereotypical? seem at it from all angles.

How true. These hyper zealots don't realize that they are causing more harm to the religion than actually propagating it .Incidentally,a good part of the money they collect goes in to their own pockets, hence the aggressive selling [some times, marketing also]. By the way ,do you look some what as a gullible or an impressionable person that they take the liberty to go to such an extent?Think over and try to look like a 'No Nonsense' person next time.Till then.........

Chances are those "other religions" giving out literature are Christian religions themselves. Any religion that recognizes Jesus Christ as the Son of God and humanity's Savior is Christian. 'Nuff said on that, for what it's worth.
Why are they so demanding and persistent? Ever tried to socialize with an alcoholic and not drink? They tend to react badly to your abstinence. The "Christians" you refer to are acting the same way for the same reason. If you participate, it justifies and confirms their beliefs. By not participating, you are essentially telling them they are wrong and deep down inside they already know that. Then their egos react in anger.
Stand in your own truth and do not allow the reactions of others to reach you.

Because that is a true chritians job. If you havnt noticed we are being invaded but many religions throughout the world on a daily basis. This was formed as a Christian country, and was intended to stay that way. Back in the day, people of different christian faiths were persacuted. so they made the US as a haven of christian religons. Muslims and all the other false religons were not intended to be here. Did you here. I know you are saying, "freedom of religon, seperation of church and state" Right? But how about the Muslim Madrassa being built in New York with Tax Payers Dollars!! Thats what your Democrate Liberal votes will get you. More isolated and in an increasingly foreighn America.

Spiritual terror is the main ingredient of Christianity. The man they worship as infallible died 2000 years ago and there is no proof of the claims they have from their book of what he did.
So what they have left to cling to is a repeated announcement, brainwashing of eternal damnation for unbelievers(even though we cannot measure belief and doubt). Put on top of that, the sucesses in jobs and social structure of their belongers cause they develop their belongers to control society and why wouldn't they support success?
We all pretty much agree that we all die. That has been witnessed throughout time. That fear runs through all of our veins from time to time. The Christians, because their lives have been more accustomed to learning this spiritual terror from their churches, concentrate on it because it seems a validation to at least the idea of death and dying, because they can sink their teeth into that.
Many other parts of the world and some of the contrary religions to Christianity have had to wrestle with real human tragedy every day that takes their mind off death's infinite nature. And some of them spend 8 hours a day praying, so they don't have time to discuss and think about it.
The truth, to me is somewhere in the middle. So far in unfolding Creation and Creator, of which you and I are a part, we can get a sense that we came from somewhere back through particulate matter that was fertilized with other particulate matter, back through star dust, and back to image or imagination from a sense of thinking ourselves into a material sense.
So there is a place for image, spirit, that exists with us here and in passing and is pretty much indistinguishable between our molecular matter and yet whose molecular matter becomes insignifigant in state when we no longer are alive in this mortal sense.
Our purpose should be for healing.
I am a Forgive Affirmed Spirit
Healing be unto you

What Christians are coming to your house !?
JW's are not Christian. They deny the Deity of Christ.
Mormons are not Christian for the same reason.
Admittedly, there are some pushy Christians, but our faith calls for us to share the Gospel. "Sharing" and "shoving it down throats" are at opposite ends of the spectrum.
Be polite, tell them "Thanks, but I'm not interested." and then close the door, or change the subject.
There is nothing wrong with exercising your free will and refusing to listen. A firm "NO" should suffice.

Well, I am confident that you don't believe that ALL Christians are like that.
Any religion, cult, salesperson, etc. can be either pushy or soft. For those Christians who really do tell you that you're on your way to hell if you don't follow them, they themselves are on a negative path and will answer to God for their spirit. Jesus chided 2 of his disciples when they wanted fire to fall on those who did not follow them. Jesus wasn't happy about that type of attitude and spirit.
But rest assured, there are more in number than you can imagine, of Christians who are not pushy, and will be the best friend you can find. Faithfullness, love, caring, helpful, giving, kind, pure, etc. all qualities you will find in Christians with right spirits.
