I have recently been put on Social Security Disability because of all the pain . My doctors keep giving me different diagnoses. It is hugely affecting me spine and my feet burn like I have been walking on hot charcoals all night. I am so stiff, can't get out of bed with out my pain medication. I have been diagnosed with everything from degenerative spine to arthritic spine to fibromyalgia. It is affecting my entire body, my hands, my legs, my back is killing me. Do you have anything like this and what is it? Do you have any recommendations on how to loosen my spine and relieve the pain? Does Castor Oil help? If you suffer from any thing like this please advise me. Thank You.

Granny, I read that Castor Oil will go to inflammed joints and help relieve some of the friction, I guess that's what you would call it. Relieve some of the tention, oil the joint, for lack of a better word

I got caught in the PTO (power-take-off) of a tractor, which would be like getting caught in a drive shaft of a car. Lucky to be alive but in a lot of pain. I take pain medication as well as using Lidomerm patches on the lower back part of my back. My spine is shot too, arthritis all over. I found that water aerobics is very very helpful. I also take fish oil pills daily. When I had the accident I hit the ground so hard it cracked my teeth. Also, it sounds like you have neuropathy. Look it up on the internet under health in yahoo!!

it sounds like you have some kind of compression and/or an impingement on your spine somewhere. you didn't say what happened to you that started all this, so it is difficult to say for certain what may be the problem. if it is a degenerative condition, you don't want to use a chairopractic remedy.
to 'loosen' your spine: get the help of someone who is familiar with massage to help you and ... first, you need to take some sort of pain reliever/muscle relaxer. then, you lay on your stomach, flat out, in a comfortable, quiet place. have your friend heat some wet towels in the oven to where they are not going to burn you, but hot enough to benefit. have the towels switched out over and over so there is continuous wet heat on your back for 30 minutes. then, receive a light massage, of the proper technique, for 20 minutes. then rest/sleep for a few hours. this should be done when a light injury has just occured, but can help any time. just dont overdo the procedure. and yes, castor oil is a good 'easer' soak the oil in flannel strips, heated, placed across painful areas, wrapped with saran wrap so the oil doesn't get everywhere, and for as long as you like. jesus blessed the castor bean, and it is a good thing.

I am so sorry that you are going through all this suffering. I am going through similar symptoms. I am tired often.

I go to a chiropractor but it only helps relieve the pain for less than a day. I also have arthritis and degenerated lower back disks. He thinks it's fibromyalgia, but you have been diagnosed with it already.

Are you on anything for pain? "Aleve" helps a little. It's over the counter, like Tylenol but better for our symptoms. I don't think Castor Oil would help, I wonder what you think it would be good for.

Have you been able to see a nutritionist? I haven't, but I know many people who feel much better after they change their eating habits. Mother always used to tell me that sugar expedites arthritis.

I have also been through LOTS of stress, and this could be stress related. Do you have a therapist you can talk to? There are Internet support groups, but I'm not on any so I can't help you there either. I go to my first rheumatoid doctor next Friday, so my symptoms are one two months old.

I think that you would be wise to phone a chiropractor or an osteopath and tell them, initially, about this over the telephone. There is no point in spending money if they just cannot help but most would want to advise if nothing else. These people operate very differently from doctors and use their hands to bring about pain relief rather than drugs.

A year and a half ago my doctors could do absolutely nothing for my back and leg pain but an osteopath did. I needed 7 sessions but it was worth it.

You have nothing to lose by asking and I hope that one of these can help you.

Castor Oil will do nothing but give you the runs....that was a physic used long ago!...
I strongly suggest you go to a pain center, for what you describe sounds as if nerves are being impinged by calcification of the spine....there is surgery for this, but it is a major operation, they go in from the front and remove calcium deposits at the openings of the vertibrae where the nerves exit...not without its dangers. I feel for you deeply, constant pain is a real life downer. And masking the pain with pain killers masks life. So very sorry for you.

A neuropothy is a condition caused by something else. it is basically a catch all term. I have a deterioration of my nervous system, ie. Neuropothy. What I have is so rare there isn't even a name for it. I am basically self diagnosed. Every test they've given me only confirms my diagnosis. I have lost most of the feeling in my feet and legs. What little I have left is all transmitted to me as pain. My feet burn like what you said, especially my toes. My hands and arms are getting worse and it has moved into my spine. I have learned to live with it. In spite of it and not being able to get around well and falling sometimes, I am self sufficient. I live alone, prepare my own meals clean my home, do my own laundry. drive, shop, basically everything everybody else does, just at my own pace in my own way. Although I'm an old Hot Rodder and can still drive with the best of them, I just need a light at night for my feet so I know where they are. All I'm trying to say is, don't let it get you down. Father puts nothing in our lives that we are not capable of dealing with. Deal with it the best you can, asking Father to strengthen you to be able to endure the weight of your cross and He will bless you to be able to do so. Mortal life is but a moment and if we endure it well, we will be blessed for eternity.

I, too am sorry that you are suffering so. God does not want His children to suffer and be in pain. Jesus has already died for all the sickness and disease that we suffer, we just have to believe it and read the scriptures and say them aloud that declare our healing. Additionally, your faith will increase and allow you to 'do' (work). My strong suggestion to you is to get to a health food store in your community. They are well knowledged about natural ways to satisfy the bodies' need and repair. I am not familiar with the details of your sickness however, I know God has provided a natural remedy for your relief when the doctors are unable to bring you comfort. Please seek someone in this area who can help you.

Ask your doctor to do an MRI scan or CT Scan, also ask him/her to test you for Lymes Disease.

Several of the kits commonly used to test for Lymes Disease result in a false negative. Insist he send your test to a lab that uses several tests before ruling it out.

Please see another doctor. Call a Physician Referral Service in your area for a Specialist in this kind of problem.

I have never heard of anyone with Fibromyalgia having burning feet.

Did the doctor who diagnosed this test you for "trigger points". You must have a certain number of positive trigger points before they diagnose FMS.

Have you tried Muscle Relaxers ? Have you been tested for B12 deficiency?
